First of all, I'm from MD which is where Keyes is from, he is not from Ill. Lets be serious. And please, do not question my conservatism. I believe in tax cuts until there is nothing left. I'm pro-life, and Keyes is right about the moral crisis in USA. But what we need to win are trojan horses, like Bush. He came in all moderate and then took care of business for us and america is better for it. Keyes is not a trojan horse, he scares people. He can't win and therefore, we lose. Nothing is more important than winning. Once you win you do whatever you want.

Keyes should be removed from public view, with the use of a straight-jacket, if necessary

Sounds like you're reading right off the Obama talking points.

God Bless him.

I am 100% positive that God will bless Alan Keyes, because the scriptures tell us that God honors those who honor Him.

Theres no way a Republican candidate should be getting less than 50 % of the Republican electorate's votes. If so, then its got to be the candidate , not the "electorate" that has problems. Use your head.

Correction: Once a politician wins, he can do anything he wants. Right now Obama is the Trojan horse. We need to get away from those, not encourage them by either voting for them or discouraging their opponents and the allies of their opponents, IMO. If people vote only for a farce, then elections are farce. It is much better to be aware of the things for which candidates will stand and fight as well as the things that will cause them to wilt under the slightest pressure. That way we vote based on the knowledge we have, not the lies they offer us to capture our vote.

I invite you to reassess the situation after votes have actually been cast.

Its actually worse than that. He's so intemperate and exercises such poor judgement, even if he got in he would end up hurting us. A slick orator, and dat's it.

Nothing is more important than winning.

But you can win battles and lose wars.

Keyes represents a form of political thought and action that chooses to not be held captive to the expedient.

Over the long haul, it is Keyes' brand of conservatism that shows the way to liberty, long-term growth and maximum prosperity.

The first Keyes/Obama debate is on Tuesday night. It is a radio debate, but C-SPAN will have their cameras there for later rebroadcast. So in a sense, this radio debate will through that means turn into a TV debate.

Only on radio??? that's a total shame. is there a radio link? is it next tuesday?

You're a great spokesman for those disloyal Republicans who tell pollsters they'd rather have Obama.

Dude, I would vote for Keyes in a heartbeat over Barrack Obama bin Laden. I'M GOP and will always be. It's a shame that so many GOPers in IL don't feel the same. But it is the reality, we should have fielded a better candidate, that is our job and we failed.

Hey, listen, Id vote for him over Obama, but its a waste of time knowing how it will end up, and more than that, it has set Illinois Republican Party back 5 years at least. What he does to Maryland he does to Illinois. A shame.

Watch the Keyes website for any possible links to the radio debate. Otherwise, as I said, folks will have to watch it later on C-SPAN.

Yes, it is Tuesday evening.

Not everybody is as pure as you, I guess. But, hey, lets demean those "disloyal Republicans", and give that lunatic Keyes a pass.

I never claimed purity. That is your invention.

But at least I'm not on America's premier conservative website offering aid and comfort to Barack Obama, socialist.

That's good to hear, and I'm glad I didn't embarrass myself by suggesting otherwise. But our duty doesn't start on November 2, when voters get to actually vote.

we should have fielded a better candidate, that is our job and we failed.

It is also our job to elect the best person for the job, among the candidates that are available. You're right: it is our job to ensure the best candidate is on the ticket, as well. I like Keyes on the ticket, and I think that with our support, he can win. We need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot and discouraging people from going out and voting their consciences. It is also our job to facilitate that environment, and by constantly telling people "Keyes is a nut" and so forth, we are hurting, rather than helping, our cause.

Far from it. In fact I wasn't even talking to you.
