We dealt with this poll yesterday. Several freepers are suspicious of it because of the individual at AP pushing it. He's the one that indicated the press should help Kerry.

People are stupid if they switch their votes so sporadically. Come on guys its not that hard.

Exactly, just some of that feel good democrat wishful thinking. aka, "Happy Talk" Bush/Cheney 2004 Let's Roll!

This is the third iteration of a poll that came out yesterday. They are doing it to hype the debate tonight.

I noticed yesterday Kerry didn't sound confident when talking to the press. I would bet Cheney's evisceration of Edwards on Tuesday has moved some people away from Kerry. Also, I heard Rove has saved the expose of Kerry's dreadful Senate record for October so the information will be fresh in the voters' minds on 11/2. The most powerful ammunition has yet to be fired. Finally, I'm sure the Swift Boat Vets, because they're smart and experienced in warfare, are saving their strongest material for late October. I've heard rumors that their last TV commercials will "make it tough for Kerry to win New York." We'll just have to wait and see. But 25 days is a long time in politics with our hyperspeed communications and 24-hour news cycle these days. The polls won't mean much until around October 20. AP polls are meaningless, however, because the AP has an obvious strong bias for Kerry in their "news" stories.

Every 2 years the media creates a horse race for their own benefit. Remember how shocked the DEMS and the MSM (one in the same)were when they didn't pick up seats. That's when the DEMS went "Full Goose Bozo". The AP is a mouthpiece for the Socialist Dems.

This is the AP poll again. Rasmussen, Marist, and others show differently.

I wouldn't panic; however, if Rove is a genius and Bush is a great poker player, it is time for them to act like it.

Yes, the AP poll from two weeks ago was also BS. They probably sampled more Republicans back then and will be continuing to sample increasingly more Dems as the campaign finishes. This is their attempt to give Kerry "momentum" into November 2.

The scary fact, to me anyway, is that there are enough fools and idiots to elect John Kerry.
I will not rest easy until after election day and President Bush wins.
The re-election of Bill Clinton forever destroyed my confidence in the judgment of the American voter.

And we have reasons to be suspicious of this poll. The Ipsos website, according to Polipundit, has nothing on its site about this poll. It has no internals that were presented.
Be suspicious, especially since ABCWaPo's tracking and Rasumussen still show Bush to be up two. Gallup should be coming out soon. Methinks this is an outlier.

Bush should release the strategic oil reserves NOW to drive down the price of oil.
If the price of gas and heating oil is still climbing come November, it could make the difference
if things get really tight.
Besides I have to fill my oil tank, and I'm holding out and freezing
waiting for the price to fall before the election.

thanks for the reassurance guys. But it's true there are alot of stupid people out there and they vote...just look at Clinton getting 2 terms :@ I worry most about the Supreme Court in all of this; we (and millions of unborn children) can't afford another generation of activist legislating judges. I could stomach most of the awful things Kerry would do as prez but the thought of him controlling the SC makes me weep.
