Burr by 2 is a nice improvement in a poll that had him trailing for a long, long time.

Gee, wouldn't it be awful to see ol' Irksome Bowels lose a second time?

I'm happy too, and yes he's a distant relation.

It's incredible how fast and steady the trend toward Burr has been. He's got this one in the bag. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up winning by 6-8 points.

YES!!!!!

This was looking bad for a long time.

I guess those ads with Clinton in them really helped.

Don't know, but my wife is. Her father's family is descendants of Thadeus Burr, a cousin of Aaron.

Not only is Bush going to win handily, it looks like he has considerable coattails as well.

Happy, happy. I hope this carries over to Balantine, Snyder and all the others.

A strong debate on Friday would help a lot of these senate candidates I bet. Go Burr.

I just filled out my absentee ballot here in Iraqi Freedom. I'll mail it in the morning. I voted for Richard Burr for U.S. Senate from North Carolina.

Of course. Remember that the Bowles/Dole race was considered a toss-up, or slight-lean up until election day when Dole trounced him.

I think something similar will happen in Oklahoma. People might not be thrilled to death with Coburn, but in the end it's going to be very hard for all of those Republicans to vote Democrat when they know full well what the stakes are. Same applies to the NC race. Polling is close, but in the end I think it's Burr's race.

Fantastic news. With Martinez pulling in ahead as well, the south is looking like solid GOP country.
