That's weird, I too got teary eyed praying for pres. Bush in the 2000 election. I was a fairly new Christian at the time and yet I was convicted to pray for him to win. I'm black and from Harlem by the way.

I see you are a fairly new FReeper, welcome. Check out the Daily Dose here on FR, if you haven't already. It's a friendly place full of (mostly) women who like Dubya.

I was raised Catholic and did 12 years in Catholic school back when they still had nuns, but am Jewish now.

Also a sistah, waiting for the volcano to blow in Seattle.

God bless you BP.....may I ask you a question? Do you get any grief from your family or friends over this? I pray you don't. IMHO, I think the Republican Party is THE party for the blacks in this country....but they have been brainwashed for so many years by the likes of Jesse, Al and their ilk. I'm glad to see this changing.
