IMHO, I think the Republican Party is THE party for the blacks in this country....but they have been brainwashed for so many years by the likes of Jesse, Al and their ilk. I'm still fairly young and jesse and al didn't have much if any influence in my political opinions. It's the media that has the biggest influence TV, music, news, and magazines. It was accidentally hearing Allen keys on the radio that I found out I was a Conservative. Since then I have delved into learning about conservatism burke hayek sowell etc. As far as my family is concerned one has turned and the others will not be voting for kerry. As my wife told me when we were leaving my family reunion after I had debated my uncle. "Poor basterd, he never had a chance." LOL
