I THINK THAT SOMETHING BIG IS GOING TO HAPPEN

I'll say it again - GWB is the first president I've ever prayed for. I have never felt compelled to pray for the specific outcome of an election, but I did in 2000. And I mean it when I say 'compelled,' I truly felt forced to pray for this man to be elected and I am a person who struggles with her belief in God.

Maybe somehow I also felt that something big was going to happen. I don't know. I just know that this old Socialist found herself crying in her office, praying that George Bush win the election and believing it to be the most important thing in the world.

That's weird, I too got teary eyed praying for pres. Bush in the 2000 election. I was a fairly new Christian at the time and yet I was convicted to pray for him to win. I'm black and from Harlem by the way.

I know exactly what you mean! I, too, felt like George Bush was destined to win the 2000 election. Just look how many times, durring that post election nightmare, Gore almost managed to steal it. It was truly by the Grace Of God. I always thought the whole thing was a miracle. Now just pray that God has another miracle in store for us.
