Tom McClintock will run for Lt. Governor in 2006
10/07/04 | GOPextreme20

Posted on 10/07/2004 12:00:21 PM PDT by GOPXtreme20

Hey guys. I got an e-mail message from Tom McClintock himself. I e-mailed Mr. McClintock a couple of days ago and to my amazement, he e-mailed me and said this:

Hi Richard,

It will please you to know that I have already filed my initial paperwork to run for Lt. Governor in 2006. I would not be in this position today without the support from people like you who truly believed in my message during the recall election. I look forward to the coming campaign.

Thanks for all your help.

Tom

I hope he takes alot of conservatives with him, because the party does not deserve their support anymore.

If I gave you the kind of "support" the "conservatives" gave to the GOP since 1994, I'd be thrown in jail for assault and battery...

Na, I tend to agree with calcowgirl.
Sounds more like his opponent to me.
He's not that dumb.

Yeah, I'm really pissed off that the California Republican Party as well Gov. Arnold are not doing anything to close our borders to illegal aliens as well as Islamic terrorists. I hope that Tom McClintock will win the Lt. Governor seat and maybe someday he will topple Arnold in 2010. But the problem is, I will be 27 years old when that ever happens. Right now as a 20 year old guy, I think that McClintock will best serve California for my "lost" generation. As much as I dislike the new Republican Party in California, I will still be a Republican just so that I will be able to vote for McClintock in the 2006 primary as well as booting out Arnold in primary for Governor. I hope that there will be a great conservative that will tackle Arnold on issues such as immigration, outsourcing, and many great conservative issues.

If this were true, I'd not be exactly pleased.

I've had my beefs with Tom, but in the interest of seeing this state righted, I had hoped he'd make a bid for the Governor's office during the primaries in 2006. During the primary you're facing Republican voters. It's much easier to remove a RINO when you're appealing to conservatives exclusively.

If he runs for Lt. Governor it will guarantee him a future run at the Governor's office, but by then the new "M" party will run someone against him, acting as if they are the "R" party. The "M" party is basicly a combined party of 'used to be' democrats and republicans who seem to think Mexico is the new landlord in California.

The "M" party brought us Arnold. They'll support some other neutered 'conservative wanna be'. But in reality that person will still be an "M" party member.

Remember the Tom McClintock Endorses Arnold thread during the Recall?

It originally didn't say "Spoof site" in the title. It linked to www.mcclintockforsenate.com which tried to spread the rumor that Tom would run for U.S. Senate and was bowing out of the race for Governor. Arnold's supporters at FR pinged it far and wide with glee. In fact, the site had been set up by one of those freepers, according to godaddy.com website registration.

Childish antics, IMO.

Look, Onyx.

This thread is NOT a lie if it were then I wouldn't be posting at all. I'll go further into proving that this is not a lie. In fact, I met Mr. McClintock last year at Sam Hicks Park in Temecula, CA on Sept. 9th. 2003 and I was there. In fact, I was in a picture with him. It was an event sponspored by the California Republican Assembly. Assemblyman Tony Strickland of Thousand Oaks was there. Even Danny Ball and the former mayor of Lake Elsinore was there as well. I'm no phoney. In fact, my name was even on the local newspaper called the Californian the next day.

RINOld will not run for reelection"""

Do you have anything to support that, or is it just your hunch?

PLEASE post the same info you posted on
one of the OTHER vanity threads of yours
wherein I asked you to prove the veracity
of this e-mail from McClintock.

You did prove it to me.
amd likewise I apologized to
you and welcomed you to FR!

Now, grow-up and try READING information
posted here, and comment on threads
already running.

This forum is not your own chat room.
Your opinions and questions are welcomed,

Sorry, Onyx. I forgot to post the e-mail response that McClintock gave me in this thread. I didn't get a chance to post that info here on time. Onyx, I accepted your apology and I am very sorry if I ever caused any confusion.

It just that I am so excited to be a new member and I always wanted to interact with other conservatives in the web. I hated going to stupid liberal junk message boards like skyscrapercity.com and reading these left-wing trash like the LA Times and my local news channels that always give a one-sided view.

They gave so little support to the GOP that Karl Rove doesn't even count them in the "likely voters" column anymore.
