Roger that big time! How come they havent been busted for that????
Ipse dixit, although in a supremely ironic way, so true on so many levels.
Ben's gonna be pissed at the world at some point.
Given the way most lesbians look anyway, I don't see that passing one's self off as a man would be a terribly difficult thing to do.
I think he can get pretty pissed off a) that he doesn't have a father, and b) that his family situation was actually a hormonal and behavioral freak show. That might piss a guy off. Or maybe that's just looking at the glass as half empty.
None of what you cite is worse than nonexistence, I think.
"Lucy walked out in 1999, taking Ben with her, after telling Susan she was making her life hell."
Said Sam/Susan: "Don't go, I can change.... really"
"There's a sitcom to be made here, and the only surprise is that it hasn't been made yet."
There already was. The Odd Couple.
Wow, a lesbian that looks like a guy. I haven't seen that since, oh...Saturday.
Who said it is? I'm saying there's a little breathing room between getting pissed about something on the one hand, and total anhillation on the other. And within that domain, I suspect, lie the emotions stirred when one is in Ben's situation, spawned from a test tube with a fruitcake for a mother, and a hermaphroditic science experiment for a step mom/dad/thing. But hey, I could be out on a limb here :-/
How sad. Fooling no one but themselves.

I have known that frauds and scam artists exist. Have always existed. Will always exist.
So?
Rest assured that you aren't the only one. If you are asking for my justification and reasoning in posting this article, there are numerous reasons why it's relevant. Among them:
1. The nature of the fraud touches upon social issues which are hotly contested in the political arena today, namely homosexual marriage and the raising of children by homosexual couples.
2. The "woman" in the story indicates that she CHOSE a 13 year lesbian relationship after an unhappy heterosexual one, which contradicts the assertion made by many homosexual activists that homosexuality is entirely determined by genetics or nature and that no choice is involved.
3. As shown by the commentary from other posters and the volume of page views this post has received, it is regarded by many as an interesting article....not an ordinary and mundane story of scam artists and fraud.
Ever hear about the pair of lesbians who pretended to be a gay male couple?
