But I suspect a lot of women were taken in by the Breck Girl.

I resent that remark..........

That clip he is reffering to was BS.

Cheney said tonight that he didn't say that Saddam/Iraq was directly connected with 9/11.

Then Brian Williams plays the MTP(meet the press) clip where Cheney was making a point about Iraq being at the heart of the part of the world where the terrorist who want to do harm to us are.

That is about as close as they can get to saying he "linked" them directly.

It is such garbage because the lib talking point is that they (the administration) was constantly connecting the two... And they have to go to an obscure line deep in a transcript as their entire case.

It is ridiculous, and none of the commentators are up to snuff enough to clear it up. see here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1236141/posts

One thing I know for sure, after this election it is back to the dog shows for this no talent hack. His father must be spinning in his grave.

How right you are. I can't begin to enumerate the many ways Prescott ticks me off. God Bless his father's memory.

Opie Taylor never should have ventured out of Mayberry, because he clearly isn't quite ready for life in the Big City. Fortunately Pa Andy delivered a firm but gentle lecture and taught him some valuable lessons.

>>> ...Cheney lied about not connecting 9-11 and Iraq. Poof Joe?? I want Poof.<<<

Read "Connections" by...I forget! Anyway, the first chapter chronicles a meeting in Jakarta in early 2001 with most of the key planners of 9-11, hosted by an Iraqi secret service agent based there. And that is only the first chapter. Anyone who thinks that Saddam and al Qaeda were not actively in cooperation should read "Connections". Did they trust each other implicitly...no...but like thieves they decided to work together.

James Woolsey, former CIA head, said that the author basically has the proof that Iraq and al Qaeda became joined at the hip after the first Iraq war, Desert Storm in 1991.

Thanks. The way Chrissie was touting the MTP clip, I thought they actually had a firm quote from Cheney connecting the two. Should have known better.

The snickering is misplaced, because the one who got it wrong was Edwards ... pretending there's not a tie when we have the fact that Saddam offered Osama Bin Laden safe haven in 1998, or the matter of this:

I just watched the debate on tape after listening on the radio on the way home. Is it just me, or was Edwards hands shaking? If he can't stand the heat of a debate, how can he stand the pressures of the big office?

Can someone else verify?

Cheney tonight:

"I have not suggested there's a connection between Iraq and 9/11, but there's clearly an established Iraqi track record with terror.

This is the whole point that these talking heads miss. Sorry it seems so complicated.

Agree. And if the dems actually had real proof that Cheney/Bush claimed a direct connection between 9/11 and Saddam (not this bogus MTP thing) they would have unleashed it long ago.

I didn't notice that. But I, like others here noticed a lot of eye-blinking and some blank stares.

Question : where are all the young people with Bush/Cheney signs??? get them out there....
The Flippers are a cute touch , but I see only one Bush sign
in 50 for Kerry .
This is a mistake...should be a big part of the spin .
Two debates to go , let's roll people!

Well, yeah, I do too but I resent anyone saying that I, as a woman, would be taken in by the likes of Edwards. I like to think I have better taste than that........ Not to mention better judgement.
