You can only say so much.
I thought Cheney responded when necessary and attacked when necessary. Very well done.
It was an absolute destruction of Edwards.

Not even close- Cheney beat his ass. This should help make up for our loss before. YES! I think Edward's performance reinforced the image of him as being too inexperienced to be VP.
He actually came off as juvenile in many of his responses.
This was a BIG WIN for Bush-Cheney.

A great line

McAuliffe spin:
"Cheney looked arrogant, looked tired, stumbled, looked upset...Both Bush and Cheney looked liked angry men...I was aghast and shocked!"
McAuliffe sounded like a man crying to keep his job. LoL!

Well cut me another piece of apple pie, Dick Cheney, you took the ship to good harbor. What can one say? With all respect to the President, in this debate Dick Cheneys wagon took over hauling the payloads of George W. Bushs perceived shortcomings in his debate, a debate which was only five days ago but somehow now seems a century ago. Thank you, Vice President Dick Cheney, you were fabulous, and the school boy took the loss thanks to your aptitude, acumen and presentation of the issues. This was a home run for the Bush-Cheney team. There is no question about it.
This guy, Edwards, sounded jerked over. And talk about bad style. What a flunky.
Big victory for Bush-Cheney tonight.
One of my favorite points was when Cheney said he doesn't have to worry about what some caucus goer in Iowa is going to think of his decisions in 2008 - ZING!

Cheney showed John John who the grown-up is! He's got gravitas.
I wish they had placed Cheney's mike up higher so we didn't get the swooshy or muffled effects.

Was Edwards at the debate? There was this little kid with a beanie on in his seat, but I never saw the "distinguished" senator tonight.

"I was in the senate most Tuesdays the senate was in session and I never met you (Edwards) until tonight." That was the knockout line.

I hate to say it, but I fear Edwards pantsed the Veep!
Cheney played way too much defense and very little offense. Remember who they needed to "win over," those incapable of making up their minds. It is now clear to me how Edwards has been able to make so much money in his court cases, he is quite expert in getting people without brains to agree with him. He, like Kerry the other night was very forceful in saying absoulutly nothing.
I fear what the polls might look like tomorrow. I fear for the worst. When are we (the republicans) going to go on offense and really take it to them. Seems like too much of being nice to those not worthy.
Cheney missed a great setup to cut Edwards to pieces with the question regarding Edwards' role in raising medical costs by his professional antics...
I'm bummed...

Can you tell this guy is an ambulence chaser used to playing on people's emotions?
I couldn't decide if Edwards is:
a. An ambulance chaser doing a commercial for his firm
b. A used car salesman doing a commercial for his business
c. A preacher looking for donations
What a piece of work!

Agree
John Kerry picked Edwards hoping he can deliver the SOUTH.
To: Howlin
Did anyone else hear Edwards mention Vietnam? I counted one oblique reference, then two subsequent direct mentions. It started 25 mins. into the debate. Cheney absolutely rocked on nat'l. defense. Thought the questions were fair and tough on Edwards, much better than last week. Overall, Cheney won hands down.

Cheney missed many opportunities to respond to the primary charges the Kerry/ Edwards campaign is leveling againsgt the Administration- esp. the "no plan to win the peace" charge
UMmm when is the right going to learn wining isn't about throwing 20 counter punches to every accusation from your opponeent. All that would of done would of made Cheney look defense. This just bugs me. All weekend there is all this howling on the Right about why Bush didn't go on offese against Kerry. NOW, people on the right rip Cheney for not playing DEFENSE! MAN, there is just NO pleasing you people.

I don't know. I'm thinking about voting against Cheney, because he voted against Head Start, Meals On Wheels, and Martin Luther King's birthday. < /eyebleedingsarcasm >
