Dear xxx,
The debate tonight presents a tremendous opportunity for the campaign to attract undecided voters, but people's perceptions are shaped as much by their conversations around the water cooler as by the debates themselves.
The Vice President's goal is to do what he's been doing throughout this election: explain to the American people why the President's policies are right for America and the world we live in today - in fighting the war on terror, in keeping our economy growing and in responding to the new challenges of the 21st century.
After last week's debate, the Kerry campaign spin machine managed to mask their candidate's flip-flops on the war in Iraq, imposition of a "global test" for protecting America, and repeated denigration of our troops and allies.
If we plan to win the election, we must fight back against their spin and make sure our friends and neighbors get the truth.
We need your help tonight!
Visit www.GeorgeWBush.com/DebateFacts tonight during the debate so you will have the facts. Print and share them with your friends.
Immediately after the debate, visit online polls, chat rooms, and discussion boards and make your voice heard. The major news networks will all have internet polls after the debate. Make sure you vote in polls on:
MSNBC.com FoxNews.com ABCNews.com CNN.com and even CBS.
Make sure swing state voters know why you support the President by sharing your thoughts on message boards in target states.
Call Talk Radio shows in your area.
Write letters to the editors of your local papers. Visit Chat rooms on AOL, MSN, and Yahoo! Send this message to 5 friends using the form at the bottom of this page.
Beyond tonight, you should return to these forums in the coming days and make your voice heard and your support for the President known.
If someone asks you a question about the President, direct them to the campaign's website, www.GeorgeWBush.com. It has lots of information on the President's Agenda for America (www.GeorgeWBush.com/Agenda) and the President's record of accomplishment (www.GeorgeWBush.com/Record).
We have said before, there is no better messenger for this campaign than you. There is also no more powerful medium for political discussion. As one of our online activists, you realize that.
Make your voice heard by completing the actions above.
Sincerely,
Ken Mehlman
P.S. If we plan to win the election, we must fight back against the Kerry campaign's spin and make sure our friends and neighbors get the truth after tonight's debate. We need you to complete the actions above and send this message to five friends using the form below. Will you help us beat the Kerry spin machine?
Didn't you just LOVE the "and EVEN CBS."
Cracked me up anyway. Everyone knows the score.
If this is true, that is not going to reflect well on Bush as it also reflected badly on Kerry when his team sent a similar message.
John Kerry says he can do a better job than President Bush.
Oh really?
What is Kerrys record during his 20 years in the Senate?
Kerry voted against most of the major weapons systems that our troops use today.
Kerry voted against the $87 billion for support of the troops, after he voted for it.
Kerry led the fight against President Bush's Department Of Homeland Security, voting against it six times and delaying it for 112 days.
Kerry missed more than 75% of the meetings of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Kerry proposed slashing the intelligence budget by $7.5 billion after the first attack on the World Trade Center.
Kerry has voted at least 350 times for higher taxes.
Kerry has been able to persuade congress to pass only eight insignificant laws that bear his name, and most of those were strictly ceremonial.
Kerry has proposed that use of force by the US must meet a global test.
Kerry voted against the first Gulf War, after Saddam invaded Kuwait. By Kerrys standards, Saddam would still be in power, and in Kuwait.
Kerry can do a better job than President Bush? Oh really?
that would make a good TV spot
It wasn't even reported when Kerry's kamp pulled an unprecedented blitz of the media to spread propoganda.
Since they got a pass this will either a) cause the media to ignore both camps regarding analysis or b) acknowledge publicly that they are being inundated.
The DNC is planning the same thing again tonight, and we don't win by allowing them to do this unchallenged.
Why is this email suspiciously worded the similarly, if not the same, as the DEM email??
Yep...made me chuckle.
CBS is a joke.
Sad but true that many Americans go by the polls and think they've got a winner if the polls say so. Might just be worth getting online and doing a bit of voting.
Aw-w-w-w-w-w....., that was the old Kerry. The new Kerry will will act differently, before he reacts indifferently.
Nearest I could find.
There is a closer one, but I couldn't find it.

I THINK THIS IS A FAKE EMAIL PUT OUT BY A LURKER.
THESE FAKE CBS POLLS AND SUCH ARE NOT A CONCERN OF THE BUSH CROWD.
hehehe
No it's not. I got the same email from Bush/Cheney on my personal computer.
I agree.
If we let this go unchallenged, they will get media time.
Do you have a ping list?
I call up some folks I know and see if we can get a tag team together.
I can hit it early tomorrow morning around 6:00 to start.
We can also use the email lists and polls from the opposition.
I agree.
Last Thursday, I went to some of the new sites to vote and they were already overflowing w/pro-Kerry votes.
We definitely got out-gunned...but we did win the online polls with the Hagerstown (Md) Herald-Mail and Wausau (Wi) Daily Herald! :)
Let's not let it happen again! Do your part...even if it is an MSNBC or BCS poll!
Gosh! I read that it made the Washington Post and that even Dana Milbank (who is openly anti Bush) reported it in a bad light?
They need to get off this "flip-flopping" allegation that they think is going to swing undecided voters. Most undecideds are flip floppers themselves. They were for the war when it was going well, they are against it when it's going bad, they liked Kerry after his convention, liked Bush better after his, like Kerry after the debate, etc.
Calling Kerry a flip flopper is just saying he is one of them. They have no core values or beliefs, so saying Kerry doesn't either isn't a winning critique.
It did not reflect on Kerry at all. The only people who had a problem with it.....were people like us here on FR.
The Undecideds saw all the flash polls...and because they are not up on policy like the rest of us....they buy into those polls.
SO.....when the Kerry campaign and the DNC did that last week....in a way..it helped them.
AND NOBODY IN THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA CALLED THEM ON IT.
I am actually glad to see the Bush Campaign wake up and counter the DNC. The GOP should do the same.
Maybe if our side gets off its can and makes an effort to counter them ........maybe we can affect the undecideds.
