"furious over the Bush administration's post-Sept. 11 policies that many believe unfairly target Muslims and Arab Americans in the government's quest to root out terrorists"

Let's see -

1st WTC bombing perpetrated by young male Arabs.

Plane into Pentagon perpetrated by young male Arabs.

2 Planes into WTC perpetrated by young male Arabs.

Unfair?

I think not.

You know its really kinda crazy that arabs would be mad at President Bush. He did not implement the order Roosevelt did after the attach on Pearl Harbor--INTERNMENT---they are allowed to live their lives as normally as possible. They are being watched, some of them investigated, and some arrested. After all it was not khitting needle carring grandmothers who hijacked and fled those planes into the world trade center.Instead of being angry they should be grateful to President Bush for not rounding every one of them up and detaining them in some remote camps. They need to ask the Japaneese/americans what that was like. Also if they are that angry then they need to pack up and head back to their homelands.

Maybe they'll be mad enough to pointlessly strap on a bomb and kill some Jews or children on a public bus. Or maybe they should behead some truck drivers to prove how mad they are.

Whatever happens: Mark this day as the day Arab-Americans 'justified' jihad in America. Brace yourselves for the homicide bombers.

Arabs who have done nothing wrong have nothing to fear from the present administration. However, it is a well-known fact that many Islamic leaders in America and other parts of the Western world preach venomous, hate-filled sermons condemning the United States and its allies at every opportunity.

You know, instead of holding summits to discuss how to get rid of the current administration, perhaps it might be a bit more credible should they organize a system in which to scrutinize those in their own mosques who preach hate against America.

And you know, if I were Arab and had immigrated here, I would welcome the opportunity to be questioned if necessary...and would provide information on people who preached hate and ignorance...especially those with known ties to Hamas, Al-Qaeda, or any other front group. We have duties as Americans to keep all Americans safe from terrorist attack.

And to echo the sentiments of other posters...if you aren't happy being here and you hate the place...here's the door.

"What's their complaint? US law gives them all sorts of freedoms they would not have under Sharia Law."

Their complaint is that United States law gives *US* all sorts of freedoms we would not have under Sharia Law.

I guess Arabs figure we should have gone after Jews after 9-11; after all, they say 9-11 was really a Jewish plot. I am very tired of the fragile little ego of the Arab male.

Arabs in Fallujah don't much like the President either. Big deal.

But look on the bright side..........

There are fewer of them every day!

Not all Muslim's are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslim. Res Ipsa Loquiter!

I will always remember them dancing in the streets of Jersey City on 9/11. They are uniquely unqualified to be lecturing anyone about anything until they clean up their own house.

This is a sideline, but I am tired of reading the phrase "African-Americans" to mean only blacks. Jesse Jackson started this practice years ago and it is highly inaccurate.

Africa is a continent, not a race.

What about all arabs from Morocco to Egypt who might live in the USA now. They were born in Africa, so they are rightly African-Americans. And how about whites who were born in Africa and now live in the USA, and blacks who are called African-Americans but their ancestors are from somewhere else.

Arabs all over the planet angered by everything.

I actually hate these people. I wish they'd all just up and leave the country. I'm sick of hearing how put upon they are. 3000 are deAd in thuis country from 911, hundreds dead in Madrid and Beslan and scores of other places throughout the globe and these bast*rds are feeling put-upon by the Bush administration? They ought to count their blessings that Bush WAS the president after 9-11. I'd have rounded them all up and deported the lot of them.

The worst of it is that President Bush has gone far out of his way to state over and over again that Islam is a Religion of Peace and our fight is not with Islam, Muslims or Arabs, but with terrorists and those who have perverted Islam into a religion of hate.

One wonders whether that street dancing that seems so prevalent among the arab population is some genetic predisposition or a learned behavior. Either way, it's very insect-like. /really bad humor
