If you go on to read the article it appears to be cynical of the "documents". I'm not saying it isn't worth looking into...but caution is important here.
I'm not seeing the cynicism. The source explained that these were not in the hands of the White House long ago because they're trying to get all these documents translated. It looks like they've gone to several sources to get a bead on the authenticity. If you read closer, you'll see that these aren't all the documents, that CNS has more that they haven't published.
Everyone's going to be extra careful, sure, and CNS can probably take a little more of a risk since they are not high-profile, but this is the crux of the entire War in Iraq. You can bet the White House is eager to find out if these are the real deal. If they are, then Bush is vindicated.
One thing is for certain, the MSM will have all the opportunities they want to look at the documents.
if you read further though, they attribute the 'delay' in reporting to the backing up of documents needing transcription. Makes sense to me.
Rush is saying that they have already said that they do not have original documents, just copies, making forensic verification impossible.
