I'm not seeing the cynicism. The source explained that these were not in the hands of the White House long ago because they're trying to get all these documents translated. It looks like they've gone to several sources to get a bead on the authenticity. If you read closer, you'll see that these aren't all the documents, that CNS has more that they haven't published.

Everyone's going to be extra careful, sure, and CNS can probably take a little more of a risk since they are not high-profile, but this is the crux of the entire War in Iraq. You can bet the White House is eager to find out if these are the real deal. If they are, then Bush is vindicated.

One thing is for certain, the MSM will have all the opportunities they want to look at the documents.

I'm skeptical, nevertheless. It was a leak. Isn't it just possible that it is a false leak designed to get us to jump on it, get publicity, and then have the docs discredited? There are plenty of potential leakers at State and CIA that would love to damage our president.

I hope it's true but would urge caution.
