Nadine Davidoff has had enough of men assuming that what gay women really want is a bloke.
When you see two girls walking down the street arm in arm there are a few of safe assumptions you could make about the scene; either the girls are friends or they are gay - they could even be partners. However, a certain subset of heterosexual men inexplicably arrive at a completely different conclusion: that the girls are putting on this display for their benefit and that they secretly want the men to join in the fun.
Who knows where this misconception comes from? Centuries of male privilege perhaps; a notion that everything in this world is created for their enjoyment? But this is the post-feminist age and men have long since ceased to be our supreme rulers. Which poses the question: what part of the word "gay" do these men not understand?
We are not helped, of course, by the likes of Madonna and Britney Spears, who recently engaged in a tongue-twister for precisely the purpose of revving up heterosexual men. I am sure they enjoyed themselves (well, Britney surely did) but did they realise that this wanton publicity stunt trivialises and misrepresents every genuine display of affection between lesbian women?
A case in point; one warm Sunday afternoon, I was walking along Bondi Beach hand-in-hand with my girlfriend. Deep in conversation, we suddenly became aware of a fat, hairy man barrelling towards us with his arms outstretched. "How 'bout a threesome ladies?" he leered as he attempted to enfold us in a group hug. It didn't take us very long to come up with an appropriate response to this invasion, and we promptly told the fool to bugger off. But sometimes, it's a little bit more tricky.
For example, my girlfriend dropped me off at yoga one evening, and as we parted, she gave me a quick kiss goodbye. "Nice kiss, girls," drawled a male member of the class as he stepped into the room. As I followed him into a quiet candlelit studio with members of the class already deep into their postures, it didn't seem quite right to ruin the serenity with a loud four-letter word.
It does help though, to have your mother on hand. Strolling past Ravesi's in Bondi one hot afternoon (yes, hand-in-hand with my girl) the hairy boofheads spilling out of every open window could not contain their excitement, and proceeded to hassle us with catcalls and whistles. By now, quite used to this graceless display, we walked blithely on. Not so my mother, for whom this was a new experience. "What's wrong with you all?" she scolded as she turned to face them. "They're not doing it for your benefit."
I have never seen a bunch of men sink faster into their beers. Clearly, if there's one thing heterosexual men are still afraid of, it's their mothers.
I can't speak for anyone but myself, but the average woman is so much better looking than the average man, that two women = twice as good. When it comes down to pure physical beauty, I don't understand why all women aren't dykes.
But I can't imagine paying hard cash for the sake of porno of any sort. Some folks must have more money than sense.

I had to witness my female Lab and document time/date for AKC papers and it seemed very painful as I understand it the male organ balloons out during the session and that's why they get stuck and in some twisted positions.
It appeared to be very painful even for the male Lab when he got spun around while still in the process.
Aren't animals designed to engage in reproduction simply by the male being attracted to a female in heat for the out come of offspring.
God designed it pretty good. Except he gave us free will.

True. Some people who are mentally damaged can be very moral. However people who are mentally damaged and committing sodomy as a result are not moral. Sodomy (same sex behavior) is always immoral

But if you sire 30 children on 30 different women in differing locations surely one set of genes will survive. Spreading seed widely does have it's advantages.

I'm trying to stay with the original point, referring to male dominance in general, rather than deal with the rabbit trails that lead away from it. The word natural came up in order to confuse that issue precisely because it can be molded to fit any premise.

God gives us all free will. Women who are raped are not doing it as a free will act. It is a violent act by a man who cannot control his sexual urges and does not respect woman whom have a right to human dignity.
What about men in prison who rape other men.
Rape is a violation of human rights.
Choosing a same sex relationship has nothing to do with human rights as both are willing to engage in the act so they can't complain about rights.
How many men/woman who sleep around go around screaming equal rights.
I agree entirely. And it's the concept of society where man gives the power to the woman. Without social pressure it's every man for himself. With social pressure it's how do I convince her to have sex with me within societies boundaries.
The subject of human sexaulity and on this thread animal reproduction is like opening a can of worms.

As to how the word natural came up here in connection with rape, I'm reluctant to put words in someone else's mouth. However, I can suggest that one obvious motive for coupling those two terms might be to find a backdoor means of making rape seem more normal, more understandable or somehow acceptable in some basic, primitive sense. Why anyone would want to find a justification or excuse for rape is beyond me, but I suppose some people feel it's important.
As to the male-female dynamic, it's easy to see that there has been an element of "male dominance" in at least some aspects of the relationship, at least on the surface. But, I don't want to lose sight of the reality that, after all this time, both sexes are still here at the table and both sexes can be pretty tough in the clinches. I'm not ready to declare a winner yet. ;-)

Rather simple, most guys like to see naked ladies, most guys don't care to see naked guys, so two naked ladies are better than one naked lady and one naked guy or two naked guys.
I agree at the level of sexual activity in public.

A quick kiss or as I said to a man I knew I saw him talking to a woman and the looks on their faces body language not touching each other but obviously wooing each other, as I walked by knowing he has been faithfully married 17yrs even though I have never met his wife I jokingly said That better be the Mrs or I am telling on you Mr.
It was aparent they were a couple in love not public sex show not even touching.
A couple of weeks later the wife saw me and said we had just celebrated our 17th year and I will tell you it hasn't been easy. I guess she was trying to say he could be a real jerk some days too.
College is experimentation more than life for most that are "lesbians" during that time.. I know more than a few who experimented in college and are happily married or exclusively male.
