Maybe, but the debaters were supplied with paper at the podium. Why bring more?

Indeed, the rules were made specifically to stop this apparent behavior. Explicit rules.

Obviously he pulled something out of his jacket with his clammy manicured slick fingers. His notes which he is looking at while his long ghoulish chin rests on his narrow chest.

I cannot bear to watch his hands flapping all over the place...

Who cares? This is going nowhere. Reason? Dems will say Bush had a piece of paper so he cheated too. We will say "But that's the paper he was allowed to have under the rules." Dems will say "Bush had piece of paper so he cheated too." MSM reports "both candidates had paper so both cheated - but based on Bush's performance, his paper was blank."

Actually, when I watched the debate, I was convinced that it wasnt really Kerry. It was like some big howdy doodie wooden dummy up there with Ted Kennedy's hand up his butt working his mouth. Maybe Kaffi Annon was up in the rafters pulling strings.

Hows that for a new rumor!

Did he wear his glasses during the debate? Needed glasses so he could read the teleprompter...or notes Lehrer left for him? </tin-foil hat>

Was he taking notes? Or was he pretending to write while he was reading/mentally rehearsing material prepared by his staff?

The rules were very clear. If he wanted note paper and a pen or pencil, he had to provide that before the debate and the debate organizers would place the paper/pen(cil) on the podium for him.

The rules should have stated that any notes take had to be left at the podium and were available for inspection and publishing after the debate. I'll bet that Kerry's hand written notes weren't in his own handwriting, and might have been printed with a laser printer.

Doesn't matter what it is. It was against the rules of debate, mutually agreed upon by both parties, for them to bring ANYTHING. Pen, blank paper, ANYTHING.

Poppycock. Don't you know rules are only for us, and never for the liberals. Especially for someone like John F_n Kerry

Do you have any influence with the MSM to ensure that this is plastered all over the newscasts/newspapers/etc.?

Welcome to FR.

It was Lehrer's questions, the demorats probably had them ahead of time, considering how fast sKerry had his answers for them!

Don't care about Kerry cheating with notes, don't care that Lehrer probably gave him the questions. It's expected from these rats, and we still show no sign of ever calling them on stuff like this. Bottom line is, there has never been an easier target to pummel in a debate than John Kerry. His record, his own words, his deeds over the past 30 years, gimme a break. Crushing this guy in a debate should be child's play. Can't believe Bush was so poorly prepared for that last debate.

This just shows everyone Kerry's arrogance and his utter diregard for rules. After all HE is a US Senator! HE doesn't follow the rules HE makes the rules! I bet he had the debate questions in advance. Kerry is disgusting!
