It is crystal clear in digital frame by frame slow motion that Kerry took something about the size of index cards, from jacket his pocket, placed it on the lectern and took a few seconds sorting or positioning whatever it was. You couldn't tell exactly what it was he took out of his pocket, or precisely what he was doing with it. It was white colored, could have even been a palm pilot and he could have been turning it on and setting it up. Just couldn't tell.
Zell did not need any cheat notes to speak from his core convictions, Kerry on the other hand has none.
Agree with the lies and insults. But if you watched it, Kerry won on points. No denying, Bush didn't look good. If you read the transcript, the facts are clear.
What if he only got the questions 1/2 hour prior to the debate.
Not enough time to do by one person, but a group working quickly on different questions, yet without time to check all? Insuring continuity of thought and positions?
no, but his stock "pre-prepared" answers and themes were probably there...e.g. "wrong about $87 billion, but what's worse" etc.

I you are caught in school cheating during an exam, you will not pass that exam, so why should we be believe Kerry?
Imagine what Americans are going to say if this turns out to be true. If he is cheating here, he will also try to cheat us when at the Big House.
I know I am not suprised that Kerry would cheat in the debate. Just surprised at how sloppy he is at cheating. Kerry is kind of a senile ol cheater.
Well that's a lousy rule. Charts and diagrams are helpful in explaining things. The politicos (including Bush) who created these debate rules obviously want to keep Americans dummied down.
We should have Lincoln-Douglass style debates, wherein each candidate can alternate speaking for up to a half hour, walking around the stage, using notes. And we should have these debates once a week for several months on end. That would force all candidates to show us who they are.
But that's not what these anal-retentive politicos -- including Bush -- want.

No, sKerry won STYLE points President Bush won on ISSUE points (if you listen to it) Not read it or watch it. I would like to stand you in front of 2 hostile interrogators with an entire nation WATCHING you and see how you handle YOURSELF! I tend to think that Bush was taken off guard and agitated by being insulted by sKerry.
I could hear Bush's agitation and quite fankley, could empathize with him.
It looks to me as if Bush has some pretty serious body armor under that suit jacket. Look at the ridge near the shoulder line. It is pushing his jacket up, kind of.
Do you suppose that is why Bush appeared to be so uncomforatble during the debate? My husband said that Bush seemed preoccupied, as if he had been told something that was distracting him. A death threat, perhaps, requiring the need to put on the bullet proof armor?
Didn't Lenin say, "Promises are like pie crusts--made to be broken?" The Kerry people have a perfect rebuttal: sure, we promised that our guy would not bring any notes, but the Bush people were fools if they expected us to keep the promise.
That is NOT a hankerchief, as some have suggested. Too stiff and even for a cloth border.
FOX cameras have the key film from various angles, including some not telecast. Fox needs to analyze the footage asap.

I don't agree that this doesn't warrant focus. In itself, it might not carry a great deal of weight, but as a piece of evidence concerning Kerry's character and fitness for the Presidency, it speaks volumes. It needs to get out. No, we don't need to dwell on it continuously until election day, but it does need to be made public. We here at FR already know that Kerry is of poor character (to say the least). The hard-core left does as well, but they don't care. Its that group in the middle that needs to see this.
They should be squirming now. . .and no doubt are working on their 'spin and attack assault mode plan' to deflect the truth of the Kerry - the liar/cheater. . .back onto George Bush. (Good luck guys! - maybe wishful thinking; but think you are closer to running out of it.)
It is apparent. He has SOMETHING white and square in his hand. There can be no doubt about that.
