What if he only got the questions 1/2 hour prior to the debate.

Not enough time to do by one person, but a group working quickly on different questions, yet without time to check all? Insuring continuity of thought and positions?

Hillary got the questions in advance before she appeared on David Letterman's show during the 2000 campaign (allowing her to appear to be very knowledgeable about N.Y. state), so it's only fair for Kerry to get the questions in advance too.

Didn't Lenin say, "Promises are like pie crusts--made to be broken?" The Kerry people have a perfect rebuttal: sure, we promised that our guy would not bring any notes, but the Bush people were fools if they expected us to keep the promise.
