Here are the specific frames from the debate video shoqing most clearly what Kerry had in his hand as he took it out of his pocket and placed it on the podium.
I have taken two of the frames, lightened them, zoomed in, and sharpened the pics. No other enhancements have been made:
The President was touring the disaster areas and meeting with hurricane victims that day. There were were also three fake anthrax attacks in Florida that afternoon that he had to monitor.

If Kerry DID violate the rules, I hope that Kerry's best "bud" on the Boston Red Sox, "Manny Ortiz", finds out that Kerry cheated, and doesn't send Kerry any playoff tickets to watch him play.
To point out when someone has broken rules is not an act of 'arguing.' Too many people in this country are simply cowed by people using those phrases to put people on the defensive. If I wish to put someone in office who needs to cheat to win, then my entire safety is resting upon someone who will cheat to win in every instance. Would you trust YOUR life to someone who couldn't stand on his own? I do not think so. It's not small to hold our leaders to standards: This was a standard agreed upon by adults, and one adult couldn't, nay, wouldn't follow through. A really fine example. What next, say you? If you don't think it matters, consider this: If he can cheat prior to getting into office, with only the media aiding and abetting him, how much can he and his ilk do to the American people using the power behind the US Government?
Dem standard candidate..another who lies and cheats....Nothing to see here...move on.
