XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
I clearly see him reach into his pocket. So what?
If I'm incorrect in assuming that you've retracted your "So what?," then please do regard me as an ass.
Kerry was looking down most of the time President Bush was talking.
You know what I smell? A Kerry supporter who is clumsily trying to look like a FReeper.
where is the hi-res from Fox? or overmanipulated by an outsider/
Our little troller is gone ;)
I just wrote something similar in #1059.
You can see GWB looking over at Kerry, while Kerry's hand is in his jacket.
And Bush doesn't look down at his own podium till after that point.
He knew. (Bush knew! I finally get to say that!)
Awesome!!!
He sure did. I wonder what that was?
Not allowed anyway, pocket protector or whatever it was.
Wrong. Bush is clearly taking a pen from the podium.
Lots of fun ;)
I agree. This cheat sheet think is pretty pathetic.
Nah, thats the hand he had just shook hands with the president. Thats why I do think that until there is better rez video, that Kerry did pull a pen out because with the blurry video its hard to distinquish between his hand. Thats still cheating though.
He was. And nodding a lot, bobbing that big head of his. With that smirk on his face.
(Why do people always complain about W's smirk? If you want to see a real smirk, just watch Lurch -- it was maddening during this debate. I just wanted to smack him. Can I say that?)
Muchos gracias!
You are right that what Kerry did was practiced, which only goes to show the pathological nature of doing something so outrageous in full public view. He is far too narcissistic to be in charge of the free world. This is a small but nevertheless very telling insight into his abject incompetence for the office which he seeks.
BTW: I've offered to the others that misread my posts and took them out of context a lesson on message boards worked. I extend that offer to you as well.
Also note so far I've received 2 apologies by freepmail because the posters were confused on the subject matter due to the moderators changing the lead article. So would you like to apologize now publicly or will you freepmail it to me like the other's have?
