Caught on Video: Kerry Cheated by Using Notes Cards in Debate
If people are concerned about the price of gas, if they vote for Kerry, the Saudi Royal Family could decide to cut U.S. off. Kerry's got no foreign relation SKILLS, only in communist and socialist circles. Kerry never talks about FREEDOM and he wants to cancel our missile program per the debate. How stupid is that? We need a missile defense program and KERRY WANTS TO DISMANTLE IT. No wonder Dubya was making faces. He met SCARY KERRY on debate night.

Yes it is, that's why even the perception that Kerry cheated, especially if he did, is important. It's also fits the pattern of his past behavior. He cheated to get his purple hearts (at least two of them), he cheated to get his silver and bronze stars, in the sense that writing yourself up to make it look like you did way more than the facts support is definitely cheating. Leaving your crew behind after only 4 months, when you were still fit to fight, is a sort of cheating as well, at least as far as it offends the traditional American sense of fair play and equal treatment.

By focusing on the intricacies of the debate, the military got a pass (for once) from the media because they were too busy slicing W.

No, no, look at the podiums (podia?) themselves, not at the two men. I know that Kerry is taller, but that does not explain why Bush's podium looks taller. Take the men out of the picture mentally and look again. It could be camera angle, but it is not explainable by the difference in height, IMO.
Bush didn't perform poorly because of intelligence; he lost the debate because he wasn't prepared. Couple that with all the weird facial expressions (something Bush has never done before) and it leaves the impression that Bush just didn't care about this debate. That is NEVER a good image to leave in viewers' minds.
Bush has done this before, as did Reagan. It's commonly called a, "Rope-a-dope."
Neither Reagan nor Bush ever intentionally lost a debate; in fact, Bush has never lost a debate for any reason in his political life.
This was not strategery; it was bone-headedness.
