This was a funny thread. It seemed appropriate to refresh it, since we're all suffering withdrawals. It's pretty much still relevant, and I'm sure lots more can be added after all the hours we were down....and will be down again tonight.

What's going on? My #39 was supposed to be to Dog Gone!
I was made by this strange loud woman in my house to do this long list of things that have been hung on the side of my monitor for about a year.
Glad FR is back up number 7 on the list was gonna be a pain in the a$$.

Well, I'll be darned. If I reply to the thread within a thread, it replies to the corresponding-number post in the real, as opposed to inserted, thread. And a reply to a post with a higher number than the actual number of real posts gives you a "requested document does not exist on this server" message. Now my mind's blown!
You can't post to the original thread from this one. You have to either put the name in the "to" field below the original post or click on the original url to post on that thread.
Forgot all about this thread. It's funny, I LIVED on FR back then.
It was the remote controlled audio-visual stimuli interface refractor control unit for FR's server. Once the oscillation overthruster was adjusted through the third quadrant screw of the knuter valve, oscillation frequency picked up.

I realized that I needed my Freep fix and getting frustrated in not getting it. So, I wondered over to the Weekly Standard and bought a year subscription.

Some weird games going on in this thread, isn't there?! Going from my ping list sent me to removed threads from the original one. When I searched and found Mister Baredog's post, I couldn't figure out why it was deleted. Well, it wasn't. FR just sent me to #30 in the original thread... Very odd!
Wait....now I remember....I got a job....nevermind.
