Refreshed 10/2/2004
This was a funny thread. It seemed appropriate to refresh it, since we're all suffering withdrawals. It's pretty much still relevant, and I'm sure lots more can be added after all the hours we were down....and will be down again tonight.

(Funny how socialist leaders never actually practice it themselves.)

I actually have spies from the Godzilla Brigade, California Division, keeping a close watch on the operators of Free Republic so I was not too worried, although at one stage I typed in www.freerepublic.com into the plastic thing with buttons and up on the screen came a "Peruvian Basket Weaving from the 1600's" website. Apparently the ISP that processes my keystrokes got confused between political activism and basket weaving. A simple mistake really, yes ?

It fought back, to be sure, but it faltered and was devoured.

I figure there's another entire shift of FReepers from last night who didn't realize the site would be going down again. Might as well keep this going fot therapy.

I discovered first hand the severe physical beating of testing for a brown belt in Taekwondo. I also discovered that I have the mind of a 21 year old, but not the body. :) The brown belt is on one hand, and advil and glucosimine condroitin is in the other.

Actually, I look forward to these semi-annual R&M things. I think everyone should clean their house at least twice a year :o)
I spent the whole day saying "WOW, that didn't take long, I should do that more often". I also discovered that it's really pleasant to sit outside on the patio at night enjoying the landscape lighting I put in the last time FR was down.

LOL! I know! My lawn needs to be mowed and leaves blown away, but since FR is up, I may wait. ;) Nah, this tired body needs to move so I'll head out in a bit t get started. Besides, the Lions aren't on today so I have time to work in the yard. It's a nice and warm 43 right now. Think I'll put on some shorts! :)

I discovered that the FCC's budget is 280 million dollars for 2004.. http://www.fcc.gov/Reports/fccbudget.html
What I want to know is what do they do with all that money... Police the air waves of their licensee's... Obviously not.. CBS, NBS ,ABS and PBS have been propagandizing American citizens for at least 30 years.. maybe they throw parties or maybe they just hire people to fill desks.. because outright sedition don't bother them a bit.. but saying "DAMN or "HELL" might irritate them some..

"but saying "DAMN or "HELL" might irritate them some.." Not thast I've noticed. Seems to be common fare, best I can tell. Of course, I seldom watch any of that trash anymore. Regular TV ceased to be fit viewing for anybody 2 decades ago.

Yes, baseball, that's what that game is called. I knew I had seen it somewhere before.
