My son came home from school today and said they discussed the debate in his second grade class. This is a catholic school, and the kids are pretty evenly divided. The division has spilled over onto the playground and in the lunchroom; the kids have divided themselves into factions.
My son is the deFacto leader of the Bush supporters, and the leader of the Kerry supporters is the son of a lead singer of a country band that most country fans know. (No, I'm not going to say who, although this lead singer has been very vocal about his support of Kerry here in Nashville. I just don't want to get my son in trouble at school).
Anyway, the Kerry kid had created a sign that said "No More Bush!" My son came home and went to his room. He didn't come out for a while, but when he emerged, he handed me this:

ping for a chuckle.
And another republican in born.
I would say moderate the message...
I think your son makes his point very clearly.
LOL!!!
I swear, I've NEVER said 'stinking liberal', ever! I have no idea where he got it from. But I did think it was funny!
Get a pair of flip flops, decorate them, add some "self-debating" Kerry quotes onto the poster and your son will wow all his mates. And WIN ;)
You are raising a very smart son!
It's a politicl sign, he doesn't have to suger coat it.
The timing of this is highly suspicious. Right during a campaign and all.
Heck, put Kerry's name on the bottom of the flip flops and walk around wearing them all day.
D'oh! Catholic school uniform...sorry!
Tee hee hee ping.
They just had a fundraiser the other day:
(Steve) Earle joins a cadre of like-minded artists for the latest round of Kerry-Oke, a fund-raising effort by the Music Row Democrats organization for Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign. Other artists scheduled to perform include Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Raul Malo, Allison Moorer, Nanci Griffith, Matraca Berg and Jeff Hanna.
Let's just say (before and) after the SeeBS episode that I'm, shall we say, "impressed" with a second grader who creates the sort of lower-case "a" that is found in "Liberal".
"Wanda looked around that town and all she saw was Earle..." ;) Oh well, there's nothing written that everyone who sings country music has a brain.
I think you should tell us the name of the band. I dont know too many Male country singers that lead a BAND. Is he solo?
LOL
Watch out, they may have your son on Ritalin soon........
Oh wait...That would be in Public School.
