I imagine the day people like O.C. actually like South Park.... it will no longer be any good for the rest of us...

I'm not a big fan of Southpark--more a King of the Hill and Simpsons guy--but I've got to admit, I laughed pretty darn hard when I saw the trailer to this movie on TV the other day.

I don't buy the brilliant satirist bit. But if this is the best that our most gifted humorists can produce then we are truly in jeopardy.

OC....you want to know how they portray the Clinton gang?

Well....they portrayed Chelsea as a Troll looking thing that resembled the Golum from The Lord of the Rings.....

Does that answer your question.....

To each his own. Like I said, I agree with you on a lot. But I honestly think this is some pretty good stuff.

Hey now-leave the great classics of the thirties and the silent era alone! Some of that pre-code stuff was far more risque for the time than anything made today!

King of the Hill is another example of someone you wouldn't think was likely conservative being conservative. Beavis and Butthead were very deserved rips on my generation Now Hank Hill is the only dad n TV who is not a complete moron and generally ends up saving the day.

The Bush family was portrayed like every other sitcom family since 1972, all the way down to the annoying neighbor that just walks in the door unannounced, and the "sassy maid" (played by the woman who played the "sassy secretary" in Bob Newhart) that was the point of the show. It was making fun of sitcom stereotypes by putting them in the most absurd place possible for that kind of "family" the White House. They even started off by hitting some of the most popular, and generally most stupid, standard sitcom plots, like the ever popular "two parties" and "half a phone call" (which was the plot for every other episode of Three's Company). It would have been the same show, only with different character names, if Gore had won. It wasn't making fun of the president, it was making fun of network television and it's 30 year tradition of sophomoric sit-coms. Probably went right over your head.

Anybody that ever saw a standard cookie cutter family sitcom and thought "God that's stupid, who watches this tripe" was the intended audience of That's My Bush. It was the sitcom for people that were sick of ABC, NBC and CBS talking down to them. If you hated "Webster", "Punky Brewster", "Silverspoon" or any of the other sad attempt at humor in that ilk you would have love "That's My Bush", because that is who the show was making fun of, the writers and watchers of cookiecuttercrapola.
