Fox roundtable: Mort, Charles K. and Ceci C. all say Kerry won. When shown that the polls say most think Kerry won but support for both either stayed the same or Bush actually gained Charles says give it a week and Ceci agrees. We'll see. I don't think so.

Charles Krauthammmer on FOX News just said that Bush harmed himself last night.
He says the damage won't show up in the polls for a few days.
Krauthammer is not to be taken lightly.

Are we sure of that? It could have been the Depends that some on FR are convinced he makes use of . . . ;)

given Kerry a pass on his VVAW activities and the Swifties facts, his senate record, etc The former were NOT appropriate for discussion in the debate. Bush takes the high road while Kerry smears the vets further in debate last night. As for his senate record, that's for the ads & next Tuesday's debate with Cheney & John Edwards.
Is this like Campaign Tactics 101 ????
To: InvisibleChurch
Only a couple times did W not use his allotted time. One time, I recall, as well as the closing statement, he finished 5 seconds "early" - but he was also over on a couple statements, even having blinking lights at one point & very close to the infamous buzzer.

A good counterbalance to the lead story on Brit Hume's show, where Carl Cameron says Kerry feels they're now on "offense" instead of defense and they're all happy in Democratland. Ugh. Kerry and his Camp are fools to think they are now on offense
Seems to me that Bush and Co. listen to what former Gov. William Weld had to say about his debate against Kerry in 96
For an example of what I mean .. view the new DNC Ad and the RNC Ad and tell me what the difference is
HINT .. Kerry's own words

He literally asked, 'who is talking about leaving Iraq?'.>
Didn't Kerry say something last night about beginning a pull-out, possibly in six months?

If Bush had been polling under 50% lately, you might have a point. He hasn't. He only has to pull in 10% of the undecideds and I think he will get more than that.

Frankly I questioned the legitimacy of that story at all because it had all the tone and hallmarks of one of Kerry's ficticious lies My first thought was that he went to snatch his KGB file.

We will see, I disagree. I think Kerry did win the debate, but not big. Bush didn't make any mistakes that Kerry can use. Bush and Co. and hit Kerry with his gaffes like Global Test.

Rush made a commented related to yours today -- Kerry's ad is focused solely on *style* -- Bush's facial expressions. Bush's ad is focused on *substance* -- what Kerry said!
I also liked the point in another thread that yesterday while Bush was reviewing hurricane damage and comforting victims, Kerry was engaged in such petty pursuits as threatening to yank the lights off the podium and having his nails done. I sure wish we could get the contrast in *those* images out beyond the MSM.

I think what that mush-headed traitor was trying to say was "Lubyanka" Square. THAT's where the KGB's nasty political prison underneath Moscow was located.
Stupid flip-flopper can't even screw up right.
