No kidding. I was thinking the same thing and the only conclusion I could come up with as to why the President didn't call him on it was that maybe Kerry was trying to snare the President into some type of trap and W wasn't falling for it.
I believe Kerry said it twice. Hopefully Brit with shed some light on this tomorrow.

"I thought it was funny that Kerry said that we protected the oil industry but did not protect the nuclear sites. My question is, what nuclear sites was he refering to"
DING DING DING DING DING....WE HAVE A WINNER!!
It bears repeating:
WHAT NUCLEAR SITES WAS HE REFERRING TO???
This is nothing less than a straight up acknowledgement that Iraq DID have WMDs!!...and WAS a tremendous threat...and it NEEDED to be dealt with!!

Kerry will now get clobbered on this "global test" comment. It shows that his outlook really hasn't changed since he told the Harvard Crimson waaay back in 1971 or so that US troops should only be deployed around the world with UN approval. Liberal internationalists will love Kerry's comment because that's their outlook and they don't understand how a majority of Americans can reject the idea that the UN is supreme. But on Nov. 2 the Kerry-lites will discover that a majority of the electorate will not submit to the "global test" b.s. for our self-defense and survival. It is indeed a BFD!

Yes, that phrase.....'Global Test' jumped out of my TV as well....Kerry will rue that remark!
Also saying that he didn't use the 'harsh word' (lie)....which he's on tape repeated using against Bush.
Remeber how Gore's exagerations were caught after a debate and that became the story instead of 'who won'?

I thought it was funny that Kerry said that we protected the oil industry but did not protect the nuclear sites. My question is, what nuclear sites was he refering to So Kerry first said that Saddam wasn't a threat & had no WMDs but then flip flops to 'why didn't we protect the nuclear sites'?
BRAVO.....you seem to be the only one whp has caught that!

Thanks Julie. I will sleep a lot better tonight knowing that dog will have his day IF the media does their job in reporting his many lies, inconsistencies and precisely where he would take this country if given the chance.

What a great question. Why not send it to Brit Hume who might raise it as well?

Ok, correct me if I am wrong. He said we didn't protect the nuclear sites right? But wouldn't nuclear sites be evidence of WMDs that don't really exist?

Cheney is going to slice and dice Edwards with his calm, cool, and collected approach. Bush will steam roll in the town hall debates. Debate #3 will manage 50% of what tuned in tonight.
To: Numbers Guy
Then there's the more important second reaction, the one over the next 72 hours, based on a more in-depth look at statements and behavior.
I agree, I picked up on it a few minutes after the debate was over. Now it's up to the Bush team to close the deal on the huge gaffs Kerry made.
