Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
Can anyone corroborate the story sKerry told about the soldiers who told him "We need you"?
The hands again.
RAPIDLY training the Iraqi's is Kerry's plan.
Bush says 100,000 will be trained by the end of the year.
PM Allawi was here, talked to Senate and Kerry QUESTIONED HIS SINCERITY?????????????? And now Kerry wants a Summit?
Bush: We must be consistent.
Kerry: "right way" "more of the same" Allawi's assessment "they're coming across the border" but Kerry has "a better plan" --
Bush: We're going to win this war in Iraq.
Kerry is looking really good.....very articulate, many facts back and forth.
BUsh is just saying the same talking points.
THIS IS A DISASTER!
I am just about ready to shut it off....Kerry is going to shoot up in the polls like crazy next week.....it is going to be horrible.
President Bush is doing GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a damn good thing we are not drinking everytime Kerry has taken a position which contradicts a previous position!
On substance, Kerry is a flake and Bush is winning.
On style, Bush is both calm and defensive. When calm, in his favor. When defensive, pulls even.
Kerry is constantly attacking the President and spouting platitudes.
If people could believe Kerry or even liked him, he might capitalize on the moments when the president is defensive. Neither holds true in this case.
Which means at the moment, at worst, they enter the debates in exactly the same position they were at before which would be a win for the president.
Yeah I feel buzzed.
Kerry is losing big points by turning the talking point back into Vietnam- it is wholly off the topic and looks like peacocking.
W is calming down, which is good. Kerry still has not had any real plans. He just keeps saying the same things- W does too to some degree, but Kerry really has nothing real to say at all.
> Kerry's "PLAN"......a SUMMIT!!!!!
Well, of course, we'll need France's advice on surrender, Iran's advice on what sort of theocracy should be in place, and Syria's guidance on what sort of punishment we should face for the offence of taking out Saddam.
So given all the required participants, sure, a summit makes perfect sense.
kerry is digging his own grave
Kerry keeps saying 90%, this 90% that, He forgets who got hit on sept. 11th 100%!
Bubya looks good. Kerry comes across as a lying blowhard.
J F'n has no plan...
Kerry's a dirty player. He purposefully waited until Bush was halfway across the stage to make his opening appearance. This gave his handlers the ability to cue the audience supporters to distinguish his entrance with cheers. It was pretty low down but effective. It threw off the President.
Also Kerry's great at 20/20 hindsight. And making sound like he would have seen the myriad of unexpected challenges with greater success. He's the high school smart ass. He's the brown noser at work. He's the guy you love to hate.
Many, i'm a noob here as im sure many people are.

I'm waiting to see who Williams-Sonoma endorses.
The enemy attacked us Jim, and I have a solemn duty to protect us...
GWB is working to the closer!
Yes, it is. Very biased, and I'm not surprised. We need to make sure the next debate is not like this.
President Bush speaks from the heart, has our best interests at hand, and I'm hoping that the American public sees this.
I've never seen questions timed so much against one person.
Next thing you know, Kerry will be saying something like 'Let's make like a tree and get outta here'.
