And in 1980, when Americans seemed to have made up their minds about not voting for President Jimmy Carter, they needed to be assured that his opponent, Republican Ronald Reagan was more than a dangerous ideologue or a Grade B actor. Reagan delivered one of the great knockout blows in presidential debate history: Are you better off than you were fours ago?

Pravda.
Now you know why I accord Zogby's "interactive" polls no credibility whatsoever. The guy just seethes bias.
Leaving himself weasel room, just like he does with those tracking polls of his that show "dramatic" 20 point swings in the final day of polling.
John Zogby has been in the tank for Kerry quite awhile now. Virtually every other pollster disagrees with him about the state of the race. I'd have to observe John F*ckin' is no Ronald Reagan.
You know, he has a post about how "he got it right" in 2000 with Gore at 51 and bush at 50.. (go figure 101%. :)).. but if you look at it in relation to other polls that were within 2 percentage points.. it is all within statistical error rate.
he is NOT the king of polls. He still uses the 2000 voting records like rasmussen to weight them. That is why I believe Dick Morris more than Zogby.
Go here to sign the Swiftboat Veteran's Petition that will be sent to Senator Kerry.

Nuff said.
The Race Is Still Kerrys To Lose
And I have little doubt hell succeed.
Why is it that all the punch lines contain the typing errors?
Polpundit analyzes each poll and pollster, and says that Zogby will not reveal his methodology and is still likely oversampling Democrats.
Zogby simply will not back away from what is clearly becoming a huge blunder, that Kerry is controlling his own fate.
Unless Bush makes a total fool of himself, Bush will pick up support, and will finish Kerry off tonight.
Zogby was no better than any other major pollster in 2000.
He was under 2% in terms of Bush's support and he gave Nader 3% more than he actually got.
I am better off with President Bush protecting this country. I knew Ronald Reagan and John Kerry is no Ronald Reagan.
True, Kerry probably can get 45% just by showing up. So can Bush. What's his point?
He's either a genius or is about to be 'outed' professionaly. Kerry has no room with those favorable/unfavorable ratings and the enthusiasim ratings from his supporters.
I doubt it. The Dems spent the last four years doing "Bush is stupid" jokes. Now the "smart" guy needs to knock out the "stupid" guy or leave people thinking he's all hollow.
His analysis seems pretty counter-intuitive...I mean...where are the red states that are in trouble for President Bush?? There aren't any I can think of...
Actually he is a christian so I dont think that plays into his anti-Bush leanings which he is quite plain in saying. I think he is reading into the discontent against Bush wrongly and a poll is an average anyways, so even if he is wrong, he could come back towards the end like he did with Bush/Gore and get it right.
Zogby writes a CYA Memo.

Zog is the only pollster who uses the excellent/good/fair/poor methodology to determine approval ratings. Just about all other major polls have Bush's JA above 50% by a few points.
