RUSH: Get this. Fox News yesterday had a segment. It was in the afternoon. The Kerry campaign, the John Kerry campaign, in angry response to the Bush campaign claim that Senator Kerry attended very few intelligence briefings.
We talked about this yesterday, and we had the audio from Pat Roberts, the Republican chairman of the committee and he said, "Hey, if Senator Kerry will give us permission to release the attendance records of both the public and the closed hearings, we can settle this," because the Bush campaign is out there saying this guy doesn't care about intelligence, and he's voted to cut intelligence left and right throughout his career, now he's not even showing up at the committee hearings be they open or closed.
And so the Kerry campaign got really in a huff, and they got angry, and they responded to Bush. They said that Kerry had at one time been the vice-chairman of the Intelligence committee. In response to that, the Bush people said, "No, it wasn't you. It was Bob Kerrey who was the vice-chairman of the intelligence committee." (Laughing.) Fox went on to say that Bob Kerrey (story) had attended three times as many intelligence briefings as John Kerry and that Bob had also contested John Kerry's attempt to cut the budget of the intelligence agencies by $6 billion.

The late night comics would be set for the next year.
After all they're still doing "Bush is stupid" after almost 4 years.
...and Tads' responds was?....HA!HA!...thanks for the post. :)
I am confused? Didn't this kerfuffle come up more than a month ago and the aide to Kerry side stepped his/her own ignorance?
I am confused? Didn't this kerfuffle come up more than a month ago and made big news and the hemhawing of the ignorance of the aide was made as "oh well, no harm no foul" kind of thing? I really think that I'd read about this more than four weeks ago?
pilot error :)
You're not confused. It's a summer rerun.
..btw, a perfect place to leak secrets to the MSM Liberal Press.
If the President wanted to get nasty in the debate, he could review the transcripts for the sessions Kerry missed, particularly the open ones. Then, when Kerry launches into some long-winded BS argument, the Pres can rebut it and point out that the Intelligence Committee had covered that at the meeting. Weren't you there Senator?
...and then hear the MSM shrieking "HATE SPEECH! HATE SPEECH! ..UNFAIR!,UNFAIR! He's using the truth."
