Brit Hume reported that a gaggle of Congressional Republicans have written a letter to the Texas Attorney General, suggesting that he open an investigation to determine if state or federal laws were violated in Rathergate.
The AG says he has referred the matter to the Texas Rangers.

LOL!
Well...all I can say is: It was THE TEXAS RANGERS who help to protect President Bush in his 2000 election run. I think Bush trusted them far more than the feds who protected him.
It would seem to me altering and/or forging federal documents would be a federal crime. As would trying to influence a presidential elections using these same documents.
Of course you all are right but it all makes the "Don't mess with Texas" phrase a bit extraneous.
The Waco blot on the integrity of the Nation still frustrates. We had such marvelous memories of Waco from way back.
My thoughts exactly, except I think the "orders" were coming from Bill and Hillary!
As a side note, I just read the list posted on FR of people who died during the Clinton Administration and 5 of them were US agents at Waco, all of them killed with a bullet through their heads and all former bodyguards of Bill and all from Arkansas.
