I know of several dogs that have injured their backs by jumping.
There are lots and lots of things that could be going on.
Your vertebral column is a series of bony discs with a cartilage cushion separating them. Everything is held in place by ligaments. The discs can slip, can blow out and can bulge. None of that has to be life threatening although it could be very painful.
The biggest problem with it is swelling. The swelling is painful but swelling can also deprive the area of circulation. Usually sedation is used to prevent excessive movement and worsening the situation as well as to prevent pain.
Rest is good medicine, anti inflammatory also help.
Keep me posted, I might be able to help with some of the medical translation and offer some emotional support.

I just called the vets office again...I asked how she was doing.
She is being kennel'd. With tranquilizers to keep her calm. They don't know if they will take xrays or not, but I authorized xrays to make sure there is nothing that is going to cause paralysis.
I appreciate your comments...I am really worried about my girl. I would appreciate it very much if I could ask advise from you if there is something that I can't figure out on my own!
