ONLY A LIBERAL...

ONLY A LIBERAL...

Over the past week or so, most of America has watched with something close to amused interest as Senator John F. Kerry has finally settled on what he now wishes to portray as his "consistent" opinion of the Iraq conflict. It is a good thing that the Senator has finally made up his mind on this seminal topic, as the first Presidential Debate will be held tonight in Coral Gables, FL., and will focus on the Iraqi conflict.

The fact that Mr. Kerry has at last made up his mind about this is, however, the only good news for his campaign, because the position he has chosen to take in fact excludes him from serious Presidential consideration.

Clinton attack-dogs Begala, Carville, and Lockhart have been called in to help Kerry re-re-define himself "down the stretch," and their influence on this new, improved, tougher Kerry has been immediately apparent. It also will be the Senator's undoing.

Only a Liberal could pretend to be horrified by the fact that, in a war, people die. Only a Liberal could expect to gain political advantage by repeating over and over that war is "chaos."

The American public knows that war results in chaos... that as we proceed to our ultimate and necessary objective, there will be good days and bad days—and that on the bad days, men will die. While we are saddened by this truth, we also know that it must be so. It is part and parcel of winning a war... people will die.

Only a Liberal could possibly be so out of touch with this reality that they are now truly dismayed that our decision to go to war has resulted in... war.

These numb Liberal disconnects actually believe what they are saying, and that they have "struck a chord" with mainstream America by expressing their shock and outrage over the natural result of our attack on these fanatics, whom we'd quite frankly much rather fight and destroy in the sands of Iraq than on the streets of Brooklyn.

This flapping angrily about like a sail whose stays have blown loose is evidence of what happens when someone with no real core beliefs or inner compass tries to act inspired... having at first lost his way, he presses on still harder, hoping all the while that those watching won't figure out that he's completely lost.

The slim possibility exists that Kerry and his trainers are just kicking all these dead bodies around like a political football in an attempt to score points. If that is the case, then he is even more despicably unfit to be Commander in Chief.

If, on the other hand, Kerry actually is mortified by the fact that people die in war... then he should just accept the fact that he can never be our president. Something tells me he'll figure that out soon enough... even if he is only a Liberal.

Anybody here want to make an internet bet that Kerry will have at least two different views on the Iraq war tonight?

I keep hearing liberal talking heads on tv saying this administration "promised us Iraq would be easy."

WTF?

When, ever, did anyone in this administration say this war would be anything but difficult, discouraging, long, testing and scary. Who in the world could possibly believe that putting boots on the ground in Iraq was going to be an easy, 1-2-3 task executed with sterile precision?

The DEMS totally lost it long ago.

Kerry will do worse than that.

Liberals cannot believe that they will lose this election. Their inablilty to accept the failure of the fruits of their flawed ideology causes incoherent frustration.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry tackled the President physically in a rage... and then got his butt stomped by W.

lol

I understand Kerry's position on Iraq perfectly.

He voted to authorize going to war, but was against actually doing so. We were misled into an unnecessary war by lies from Bush, but Kerry would have done the same thing, even knowing he would not find WMD. However Kerry would have done everything differently from Bush. Also Kerry would have invited a coalition of other nations to join the US, except not the same coalition of other nations that Bush has. And Kerry would not have gone to war without a resolution from the UN, but not the 14 resolutions already from the UN threatening war against Iraq. Kerry said anyone who doubts that removing Saddam would make America safer doesn't have the judgment to be President, and Kerry says we are not safer today. Finally, Kerry is rabidly anti-war, yet apparently the only significant period of his life was during a war, both heroically fighting and at the same time heroically protesting.

I think that should make things clear. Right?

The only thing consistant about Kerry is being contrary, even to himself, when convenient.

So typical of a liberal.

Bush said right from the start that this would be a tough, tough road. That it would NOT end soon or easily. That AMerica MUST be in this for the long haul, because losing was simply NOT and option.

The President told us this repeatedly. Those tapes will find their way into upcoming commercials. The Libs are sunk with all hands on deck.
