The black vote

For weeks, there have been rumors about Sen. John Kerry's losing support among black voters. And now the Pew Research Center poll confirms that is exactly what is happening.

The Massachusetts liberal now leads President Bush by 73 percent to 12 percent among black voters, according to the latest Pew poll. That compares with 83 percent to 6 percent in August and 83 percent to 5 percent just last week.

No wonder the Kerry campaign announced yesterday that the Rev. Jesse Jackson has taken on the title "senior consultant." The campaign also is sending black surrogates into key urban areas in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Minnesota, where his support has nose-dived.

Kerry thinks Jesse will help. He's in real trouble. Even Clinton put distance between himself and Jesse.

When was the last time the Democratic candidate went below 75% of the black vote?

This could be the worst showing since 1932.

What? Jackson was Clinton's "spiritual advisor" and often appeared with Clinton.

Only after Lewinsky.

In 1992 President Clinton distanced himself from Reverend Jackson with his famous "Sistah Souljah" speech and did not make him a prominent part of his campaign in 1996.

Thanks. That was the speech I was thinking of but had forgotten the spelling of the rapper's last name. Therefore, I wasn't specific.

The African-American community is not Jesse's puppet anymore. I'll tell you; one reason is black Americans, as a rule, DO NOT go for this gay marriage thing at all.

Another tidbit for you; being a Texan I know this. When GW ran for reelection as Texas governor in l998 he got almost 30% of the black vote. No, that is not a typo, 30%.

This may explain the orange glow that Kerry has?
You think he is capable of thinking being darker would influence the black vote?
Naaaaah
You think?

Trust me. Kerry will get over 90% if he puts the cash into it on Election Day.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Sudan. By now a lot of black Americans might have heard about the atrocities being committed by Arabs against blacks in the Sudan. This might be hitting a nerve. It could make some people feel less secure and they want a strong leader against terror. What plan does Kerry have? He just attacks everything Bush does - no plan at all.

Finally, somebody has listened. This problem in frenchie's campaign has been there for the reporting for months. In July it first started showing up when polls revealed that frenchie was getting just 80% of Black voters. Then the story went blank. No reports were allowed while the leftist scummers in the ratmedia waited for the Blacks to "come to their senses" Then two weeks ago there was that number again. In a See- BS/slimes poll it was 80 again. THEN on Monday the Gallup people said they found it to be 60%!!!!
Yes 60%. Yesterday Pew said they found 73%.
I have heard these state wide numbers of Black voter support for W: 20 in NJ and Ga. 21 in Maryland and 30% in Oregon. Pew says W gets just 13% which is fine. This is frenchie's gift to us. clinocchio gave us the House and the Senate. algore, the presidency, and now they give us the Black vote and solidify Mo. Ark. Tenn. and W.V. as GOP REDS
But the best gift frenchie will give us is the Catholic vote. The rat hold on the Catholic vote is over. Latest numbers have W leading there with 62/38!

And in 2000 he got 9%. I will be surprised if he breaks 10% this year.

The polls don't show the no-vote or non-show percentages. I tend to think that black turnout will be low this year. Kerry has given black Americans no reason to vote for him, other than that he is not Bush. And while W is clearly at ease and comfortable with blacks, Kerry doesn't seem to be at all.

it was if though I knew all the lies the Democratic party told blacks like myself all along. I made the right decision I registered Republican back in high school. I doubt Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton will help any. How can you called yourself a reverend and be pro-choice and for gay marriage?
