Ya know, I was walking down the street yesterday, and I found $1.3 million in my pocket. Imagine that.

Bull.
They were stashing it for the right time to spring finders-keepers.
Cleveland did the same thing right after then laid off 10% of the cops.

Oh, let me see...(check under sofa cushion)...oh, yeah, here's that $309 million bucks that slipped out of my pocket last July.
It makes me wonder what slush-fund the money was sitting in when someone decided it would be prudent to put it back.

Pay Raises...Excellent
If the public wanted it's money back, their would be cries of "racism". There needs to be laws to stop confiscation of this type.
To: DTogo
Isn't that the truth! But it is surprising that they would let the word get out before the November ballot initiative to raise the sales tax.

How about giving it back you profligate b*stards?
To: Anti-MSM
They'll probably spend it on the cost of removing all those crosses from the county seal.

Government believes that taxes are an entitlement and that they are the only ones capable of determining how much that entitlement will be and where it goes. Idiots.

If they looked at the Constitution for guidance they may come to the same conclusion as the Feds.

How about giving it back you profligate b*stards? Never happens in a Democrat administration. Here in Virginia the governor (Mark Warner - D) pushed through a tax increase due to DIRE circumstances. Guess what? Few months ago they "discovered" a surplus. They gonna give the $$ back? Ya sure, and I've got some lovely oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you!

Yeah how come tax cuts always seem to be for a period of time whilst tax hikes are for perpetuity? No answer needed of course.
