William F. Buckley worked for McCarthy.

He tells the story of McCarthy getting a call from the Republican MA committee asking him to come out and endorse
Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr, over JFK. McCarthy, being friends with JFK, solves the problem by saying "Sure, if Lodge calls, and
asks me personally", knowing full well that Lodge would never call.

Then, JFK stabs him in the back over the censure proceedings.

Why is this Kennedy any different?

This is a perfect example of having the questions provided to the interviewer by the interviewee.

Matthews is a first rate @ss kisser when it comes to the left and any democrat.

I refuse to watch him. I'm surprised that anyone else still does.

And Joe was a good guy. The Democrats worked hard to make him appear bad. Time that record got set straight.

Bobby always had my respect, despite his party.

Hasn't anyone else noticed that Teddy has been saying that pretty much everything done by Bush/Cheney is McCarthyism?

bartender: "Here's your scotch and water Senator Kennedy."

Sen. Kennedy: "WATER? WATER? You put WATER in with MY SCOTCH? Why this is McCarthyism of the highest order!!"

Does that make George W. is the real Billy Ray Valentine???

In the movie Billy Ray figured out the deal and he and Louis Winthorpe III outsmart everyone. So, maybe "W" is the real Billy Ray Valentine.

"They have no "God given" right to high offices and the idiots that elect them over and over should be lobotomized."

I have absolutely ZERO respect for the whole state of Mass because they continually elect these guys.

Joe McCarthy's name has been smeared in this country and he was dead on right. He died early, a broken man, because of what was done to him. He wasn't the bully...he was the one bulled...by the liberals.

I disagree. McCarthy was a Republican and a grandstanding consummate politician. He was also correct about the level of communist infiltration. The Venona Intercepts provided ample proof of that.

It is more than pathetic that Ted likes to toss around 'McCarthyism', when his own wing of the Dem Party has been doing its best to stifle free speech and insert government into every aspect of our lives. I think the shrinks call that projection.

The left loves to play the victim, and protect their little darling, Communist Party USA (CPUSA). CPUSA has always been a fertile recruiting ground for Russia. I notice the Dems did not play up the fact that the CPUSA endorsed Kerry.

Teddy is the poster boy for the mentally ill demoncrat. This is what happens when you allow your mind to be consumed with a lifetime of hate. Hate is a mind altering drug. His perception of reality is on the level of hallucination.

JFK (the original) once stood and defended McCarthy calling him a great American. I am always angered when people call McCarthy names without knowing the truth. I wish his name would be cleared in this nation SOON and POWERFULLY.

Bobby Kennedy also worked with McCarthy in his Senate hearings.

While I disagree with his methods McCarthy was correct for the most part.

Yep -- Bobby was the rare Democrat. If his name hadn't been Kennedy, I often wonder which party he'd have chosen.
