Dear fellow republicans & friends:
Please mark your calendars now to attend a boistrous rally for George Bush & Dick Cheney at the hampton republican club, 3535 chestnut ave., at 7 pm on tuesday, october 5th.
Sponsored by the independent-republican coalition of baltimore, this event is intended to put the media on notice that we republicans are really determined to win maryland for our team in november. No entry fee is required, and good food & soft drinks will be provided.
Voluntary donations will be gratefully accepted at the door, 100% of which will go directly to local republican candidates in tight races.
Though there is absolutely no obligation to give to participate, & you will be under no pressure to do so.
Come and chat with some of our outstanding metro area congressional candidates; our city co-chairmen for Bush - Cheney; our mayoral candidate, ray henderson; city council candidates; and, last but not least, helen bentley, who has been invited & will definitely come if she can.
We intend to have Bush - Cheney signs and stickers available too at long last, so all the more reason to come & help us celebrate!
Please call or email me if you have questions or need directions. rsvps would be appreciated, but are strictly optional. whether you come or not, please forward this to others or otherwise pass the word so we can have a big turnout.
Thanks! Dick Fairbanks (410-233-7860)
This meeting will have a lot of ground level and probably losing republican candidates there. It will be an opportunity to meet with future winners though and to network too.
I've met GW Bush when before he was president, Bob Ehrlich before he was governor, and Dorothy Hamill before she spoke at the 2004 RNC convention. I can probably forget about meeting them now but I think they might remember me. But you get the idea.
Most of these candidates will probably lose. But the time is to meet them is now before they win.
I've met Dick Fairbank many times and he is a wonderful guy.
Also, the same group will have a booth at the Fells Point Festival this weekend. The festival is fun to go to and please stop by the booth.
dc chapter ping
Trueblackman, you may want to go to this.
Sounds good.
Plan now for Victory Parties in November!
Cool thanks. I think it was you I spoke with a couple of weeks ago about the booth this weekend (Oct 2nd). There's a Baltimore for Bush meeting at a local organizer's house that same day, but I think I may still be able to come by the booth. Where is the festival again?
Also, if you would like to come to the Baltimore for Bush meeting (10 AM), I could give you the address to come to; I figure you're probably going to be involved with the booth though.
Thanks,
Or maybe it was you who told me about the booth this weekend. Anyway, either one (or both of you) are welcome to come to the Baltimore for Bush meeting this Sat (10 AM). FReepmail me if you'd like the address.
The fells point festival is in Baltimore a few blocks from the inner harbor on Thames and Broadway.
Ok, thanks, I probably should've figured that out from the name of it, but just checkin. hehe
Are you sure that isn't the Hampden Republican Club? Thanks for the ping.
Chestnut Ave is in Hampden, a section of Baltimore where residents have always been proud to fly Old Glory.
I tried to post a map but failed.
Yes it is in Hampden, roughly at the corner of 36th st and Chestnut.
Just to be clear, Bush and/or Cheney will NOT be there.
It is a rally for Bush/Cheney.
A rally? For Bush and Cheney *chuckle*? Attend *snort* *ggigle*?
What's a matter? You don't like Cheney?
;-)
I plan to drive up to my parents preceding the swearing in and inauguration of President Bush's second term. I'm going to need a ride from Catonsville into DeeCee if anyone is just going for the one day.
Please FreepMail me.
Thanks.
