Should spend every single day of his sentence in prison. He's lucky he wasn't executed for treason. A young former marine, Johnny Spahn, was murdered by a bunch of Taliban prisoners and I am still not convinced this slime wasn't involved.

Lindh's mother, Marilyn Walker, said she hoped "America can find it in her heart to forgive John."
"Despite what people may think, John Lindh took no action whatsoever against his native country," she said.
HUH? Fighting AGAINST Americans is NOT taking action against his country? Hanging out with terrorists and letting them train him is NOT taking action against his own country?
Has she been sipping deadly Kool-Aid lately?
Her son should have been put to death as far as I am concerned. He's LUCKY to get 20 years.

I agree, It's unfair for him to spend the rest of his 20 years in a cell. Take him out and shoot him.

I'd be willing to see him go free following a "liberal application" of Rachel Corrie therapy.
Heck, I'd ask at least as much for all his terrorist scum brothers.

"It's basically unfair to have John Lindh serve the remainder of his 20-year term," said Lindh's lawer, James Brosnahan. "It seems to us a matter of justice and, may I use the word, compassion." Agreed. Saw his head off.

But now, Brosnahan said, "comparable conduct should be treated in comparable ways, in terms of sentencing."
Fair enough. Lindh renounces his citizenship, get's deported to Saudi Arabia, and if he ever set's foot back in the U.S. it's open season.

John Lindh, John Kerry. Both guilty of giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Take a flying leap. You're lucky you weren't executed.

American Taliban begs Bush to spring himWhat would Kerry do?
To: kattracks
What would Lindh's sentence have been under his beloved Islamic law?
Oh, yeah -- an execution carried out by cruel and unusual means.
Since we're forgiving Americans but also taking into account Lindh's love for Islamic law, perhaps, we should just chop off his hands and feet and release him to his mother.

"Despite what people may think, John Lindh took no action whatsoever against his native country," she said. She is parsing words here
Because the treason he committed was on foreign soil, it's doesn't count as real treason
As a parent, I feel for her, as a citizen, she should be glad she can visit him in prison rather than visit a headstone

If John Kerry is elected he will give him a Presidental Pardon and probably a medal for fighting U.S. troops and aiding in the murder of Mike Spann.
In my opinion the sorry bastard should have been hung by the neck until dead.

Just confirms what most people think about Muslim fanatics.
Muslim fanatics are bad asses when they're calling the shots.
When they are caught, they begin begging for mercy. Why? They figure we'll give it to them.
John Walker Lindh should have been fried.
It wasn't our choice.
So? He should rot in jail and then HELL.
