Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs yesterday expressed displeasure with a pair of officiating calls in Washington's 21-18 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, and the NFL responded by conceding its crew made two mistakes. A club source said league officials reviewed the two plays in question a pass interference call on Redskins cornerback Walt Harris in the first quarter, and a no-call on a deep pass to Rod Gardner in the fourth quarter. The league conceded error in both cases.

Face it. The Cowboys are a red state team. The Redskins are a blue state team. It will always be this way.
Oh, I agree. It is simply seeing that great coach on the Redskins sideline that makes me ill. Why didn't he go to San Diego or Arizona or some other innocuous place?
WQell, I guess one consolation is that it wasn't a playoff game.
What an awesome pic, that's a keeper for this Cowboys fan. The crybabies need to move on...I didn't see the game, but stuff like this happens all the time. So what? It's not life or death folks. :o) GO Cowboys and HUSKERS!
What goes around comes around. Years ago, before instant replay, the refs at RFK completely blew a call, claiming an Oiler field goal that was clearly good was missed. This gave the Redskins a faux victory over Houston and impacted their playoff race with the Steelers in the AFC Central. On Monday the NFL admitted that it was a blown call, that the field goal was actually good, and that it costs the Oilers the game, but since they couldn't go back and change the result, the loss stood.
Live by the blown call, die by it.
That had some of the worst officiating I have ever seen and have seen plenty.
I asked my buddy when the refs were introduced "When did Leroy become a ref?"
There is no doubt that we would have won with Erlacher and Tillman in the lineup.
There are nearly always mistakes made - often they can have a drastic impact on the game.
Bottom line: had the calls gone in favor of the Deadskins, we wouldn't hear a peep out of them. Works both ways.
Play better throughout the WHOLE game and manage the clock and timeouts more effectively and you won't have to worry about a bad call or two. Period.
Oh yeah - I almost forgot: Last 14 games -- Cowboys 13, Deadskins 1.
Stop yer cryin'!
"The Redskins are a blue state team."
Face it, DC is not a state. The Redskins draw from both color states.....Md being Blue VA red among others.
Okay I admit it. We do own the Zebras. But do you have any idea of the overhead? The hay. The cleanup. The stables. And the vet bills alone would pay for little Dannys elevator shoes for a month.
Pwned BUMP!
Tom Landry would not be able to teach an alumnus of Halas University anything. He played for the Master before Landry had a shot at him.
The "impact" on the receiver in the first one is that by taking time to push the defender down he took himself out of position to make the catch.
That picture represents what America's Team used to be! World Champions! That team is history.
You know what I'm a die hard Bears fan I grew up in the Chicago land area and moved out to MN a couple years ago... The refs are week after week ALWAYS on Minnesota's side, paid off refs is the only conclusion I can come up with, I had another theory that maybe the NFL has a policy in place to MAKE a black QB win the super bowl again since it's been so long...
"How come they're called Dallas Cowboys if they practice and play their games in Irving, TX?"
Ask a member of the Landover Redskins or the New Jersey Giants. They may know the answer. :-)
I guess garden impliments are called 'hoes'.
Get rid of the replay rule...send the zebras to officiating school...make them full time officials and make the rules state that the ruling of the referee stands. Period. Just like baseball. Coaches and players can kick and scream when they don't like a call but it won't change a thing (even if they may be right an the ref blew the call) but it may get you ejected.
I live in a red state (the one Heinz just recently said didn't matter as a matter of fact), and I utterly loathe and dispise the Cowboys. Have since Jones bought them, rejoiced when they hired Parcells because I don't like him either, and will contniue to hate them until they remove all mentions of Jones in the team history.
