Is it true that they are now offering 10 million for lunar orbit?

SS1- pilot got it under control. That's what he gets the big bucks for...

X-15 broke up due to improper re-entry attitude (like almost backwards). This was caused by faulty Attitude instrumentation. It really wasn't a control problem

I would guess that their roll authority at 300k is a bit soft.

Boy that was an exciting flight. This is sub-orbital barnstorming folks, not your typical passenger jet flight.

So SS1 went into some sort of uncommanded roll, and it STILL made it past 100 km? Dayum! If it broke the 100 km barrier even with control problems, that'd be amazing.

White Knight still in air? "pecking order", was that for landing?

Dick Ruttan was narrating on CNN. During the roles he was speaking calmly but you could hear the tension. Now he's saying "he was rolling pretty good!"

X-15 broke up due to improper re-entry attitude (like almost backwards). One broke in the middle on the ground due to a lousy landing. I've got the video around here somewhere.

IIRC, Niel Armstrong got put into the spin cycle in an X-15 once. I could be wrong, though.

If _I_ were paying about $200,000 for a flight in this thing, and something didn't happen to make it really EXCITING (like a super roll or such) I would be rather disappointed... LOL... For ME this makes it all the more attractive. Was this attractive enough for ya?
I can't wait for this year's EAA. I know Rutan is a member and you can bet he'll be there again.
