But this can't be, says the reporter. Why...these guys are peaceful, religious rebels! They're insurgents fighting against the imperial Americans and Israelis. They'll just share some goat cheese with me and I'll be on my way.

Of course Hamas condemed it.
CNN has been on their side since the beginning.
Dan Rather would have free reign in that region!!
John Kerry could run naked in the valleys of terroristville.

Wedeman said a man in his early 20s and dressed in civilian clothes emerged from the car, stuck a revolver through the taxi window and "said to me in Arabic, 'Which one of you is Riad?' "
"We were dumbstruck at first, but Riad then said, 'I am Riad.' And then other men got out of the car that had pulled in front of us, and
...
Wedeman said the kidnappers made no attempt to cover their faces.
Interesting. Hamas and its Palestinian ilk are into blowing up busses and coffee shops and have never shown much interest in kidnapping or beheading people. These people knew exactly who they were looking for an made no attempt to harm the other people that were with him. I'd bet anything that something else is going on here...a forced interview maybe? A chance to scare him into broadcasting stories with a specific slant? I doubt that we'll be seeing Riad's bloody head anytime soon, but this story should be pretty interesting when it all plays out.
