Dubya will make Lurch sweat.

Aides have given Bush audiocassettes of Kerry's favorite attack lines, which the President listens to as he flies between campaign events on Air Force One and sometimes as he works out. The political team started preparing for this phase of the campaign more than six months ago, during the Democratic primaries. Gathering in the Montana West conference room at the Bush-Cheney headquarters in Arlington, Va., Bush aides and members of the Republican National Committee huddled around the television to watch the Democratic candidates debate, waiting to respond to any attack the major candidates made on the President. Some of the talking points, e-mails and press releases they generated were issued then, but a lot of the other material disappeared into a computer network accessible only to officials of the campaign. The network was set up to test the rapid-response reflexes of the Bush team and perfect a system of information sharing that the President's spinners will use this week to highlight Kerry's misses and Bush's hits on the debate stage.

Dubya has all of Lurches flip flops on Iraq cataloged in his head... ie... Date and Reason. Not to mention Lurch insulting our allies and Allawi.

Watching Kerry suffer a nervous breakdown on national television will be MUST SEE TV!!!

I have a feeling that the public ineptitude of the Kerry Kampaign will eventually be seen to be matched in every way by the quiet brilliance of the Bush campaign.

I don't think we know the half of it yet.

Yep. If Bush just reads his flip flops back to him, Kerry will have to spend the whole debate just tap dancing around them. Much less answer a question. It'll be fun filled entertainment for the whole family. Yes siree!

OK, so what preparations is Kerry making? Is he forging ahead with his plan?

Kerry just need reply 'Where is Osama?'. Some noting the flip-flops will be insulation enough, but Bush needs to have rethorical reponse for that. THe substance won't mean much as will a nice comfortable response, then hit him with the flip-flops

Why do people think because we haven't gotten Bin Laden that is some failure on Bush's part?

Americans know how hard it is to track these guys down.

Osama is isolated, on the run, and in poor health. al-Qaeda is splintered with more than half of them dead or captured. Where is Osama? On his last legs.

My question to Kerry: Why do you want to be President of the United States of America?

Of course we all know that Bush won't ask that question, but it would be nice to hear.

I'd be doubling over in laughter for a week if Time Magazine actually ran a story called "Dubya Will Make Lurch Sweat".

Actual title:

Inside The Debate Strategies

I heard even room temperature was part of the negotiated debate contract. Hope Kerry's make up doesn't start running down his face in the hot lights, cuz that would be so disastrous. *evil giggle*

It would at that, it would be a question that would bring Kerry down, as it did Teddy Kennedy in 1990.

Dont let yourselves be lulled into the same trap the Democrats have found themselves in. Bush is always expected to lose a debate badly, thus when he holds his own, it is considered a victory for him. Its that darn game of expectations. The media is going to make it look like Kerry is going to come across as unlikable and stiff, so if he comes across as a decent guy, HE might get a victory out of it...

I'd really be interested in reading Karl Rove's memoirs of the campaigns - probably will come out in time for Christmas, 2008. ;-)

I can't imagine a Kerry answer, but as Rush says, "Kerry is running for the White House because he wants a home of his own."

:)

This is so true. Nothing worse in a debate than struggling to justify two seemingly incompatible positions. He will look weak and foolish.
