As he arrives Sunday at a secluded resort near here for four days of debate preparation, Sen. John Kerry would be advised to ignore a motto inscribed on a historical marker on the edge of town.
"Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility," reads a quotation from architect and one-time resident Frank Lloyd Wright. "I chose the former and have seen no reason to change."

Obviously that's "cynicism", not "cynisism".
Boy I hope Kerry follows this route. People do not want to see the president attacked. Interesting, if Kerry plays nice he could lose votes to Nader. If he starts attacking, he would likely lose votes to Bush.
He probably needs preperation H.
My old grandpappy always told me........"ya cain't polish a turd......"
Frank Lloyd Wright/John Kerry Ping!
Another Kerry vacation. The guy is too enervated to handle a presidential campaign. He is a weakling with fits of hyperactivity.

TRYING DESPERATELY to recharge his batteries. He would be out windsurfing but his advisers finally convinced him it drags down his poll numbers.
Spring Green is a really beautiful place, despite the fact that Kerry has chosen it for some debate prep. The Frank Lloyd Wright quotation seems apt - FLW was in part a huckster, a fabricator and self appointed grandee - fits JFK fairly well.
This guy is lazy. Look at his Senate record, look at the premature exit from Vietnam, his gigolo habit of marrying for money twice, etc.
An NY Times article yesterday talked about how John sits on decisions for the longest time, supposedly seeking more information and details. He doesn't make decisions because he's got more interesting things to do, like making sure his hair is just right.
I love that Wright quote at the beginning. I have no trouble with scoundrels, so long as they're honest about it, which of course isn't likely.
That's okay. It was "Jinjus Khan" before it was "Genghis Khan."
Except that FLW had vision and talent -- two qualities which Kerry lacks in abundance.
When I first saw this headline, I thought that the Kerry campaign had hired the Rock as a new campaign advisor. Sorta like...ahem...when I served in Nam, I kicked major butt over there just like my man here the Rock ....
"Aides" = doctors, cosmetologists, hairdressers, masseurs, manicurists, voice coaches, hypnotists -- and a secretary skilled in Microsoft Word '72.
Thanks. Maybe I can get mom to go over and Freep him. LOL
LOL (It's not a very well-written article.)
Well shoot, who'd even wanna try?
;-)
