From the looks of things, the rocket simply wasn't able to reach its assigned target. As a result, it destroyed an automobile in Palestinian territory. According the information from western news agencies, there were no injuries from the incident.
Palestinian extremists frequently fire upon Jewish settlements in the Gaza strip, and the territory of Israel as well. On Friday, a woman was killed when a rocket fell on her home in Israel.
The Israeli security forces continuously conduct raids in the Palestinian territories in oder to destroy the guerillas' firing positions. The majority of these operations, however, have yet to yield meaningful results. The last raid was carried out on Saturday morning. Army bulldozers knocked down 35 homes in the Palestinian refugee camp of Khan Yunis. The Israelis maintain that these buildings were being used by terrorists to stage attacks.
Let us recall that this week the guerillas carried out a terror act in Jerusalem. As a result of an explosion at a bus stop in that city, two people were killed and sixteen injured.

There may be something to the inbreeding idea - Arab society very much centers around clan (extended family), and first-cousin marriages are common so as to keep dowries within the clan. I think it's culture more than anything else, though.
Quite true about "Palestine" being a made-up nation - it's as real as Freedonia (ref. "Duck Soup"), and much less funny.
