How have you fared over the last month in general? Not too badly so far?

You've still got power! How has the damage been so far, from Frances and Charley?

I've lived in middle Tennessee for 2 years now, halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga. I've never been to Jackson, but have friends who moved there from Georgia and I think they're happy.

Middle Tennessee is a nice area, I can say that. It's politically conservative and doing pretty well economically as far as I can tell. Jackson is more in the part of the state that isn't so conservative, but I think it is a nice place from what I hear.

I wish you well and would welcome you to Tennessee. Have you considered Murfreesboro or Nashville? Might be worth checking out.

Stay safe. We just moved from your parts two months ago. Our old neighbors called us yesterday to say, "Ever since you guys left, everything has gone to s#@%." We are suffering from homesickness this weekend. My daughter really misses her friends all of a sudden. And I do, too.

Just had second major scare. My hair was too long so decided to give myself a buzz cut. Halfway through I started getting really scared the power would go out and I would have to walk around like that for a week.

my years in Fla convinced me that I was not there for the "comfort" per se. You all have had an exceptionally bad string of storm luck.

The chamber of commerce joins many who are NOT happy.

will see a decline in snowbirg "Moving" migration & a great deal of retirees who think it might be a good idea to check out Arizona

Try a human powered blender! Just tuck a bodybuilder and the rum in your hurricane kit and you're good to go... (errrr, tell him not to drink the rum)....

I'll send off the recipe to family I have in Bradenton, they could probably use a good, stiff drink about now ;-)

I am keeping all of you Floridians in my prayers, and hoping that Jeanne turns out to be overrated. Stay safe!

That would be the logical conclusion but every time we have one of these hits the speculators drive around in cadillacs waving wads of cash to any takers.

My sister lives in Pt. St. Lucie and says she can't get her roof replaced for at least a year,it's that backlogged and that was before this storm.

Pt St Lucie is in the path of this hurricane. I hope she is in a shelter.

New track estimates from Accuweather: 8PM Sunday evening, Jeanne emerges into the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Inverness (N. of Tampa by 50 miles). Then goes to Richmond and Cape Cod.
