Thought a thread in Breaking News for the weekend covering Hurricane Jeanne would be a good thing. Post your link, pics, updates and freeper check-in's here
So, what does that mean? Do you expect a Northward turn?
That might move WSW. The eye is getting form back and strengthening.
We are far enough inland to get lots of wind and rain, but no storm surge (which is the big problem).
But they are talking like the world is going to end.
Oh well.. enough of this crap. I'm going to the range... I need to function test some magazines.
WOW! Thanks bunches. You did this for Ivan and it was such a blessing.
I don't know which is worse, hysteria or ignorance. Here we had those 85mph inland winds. Made a big mess of things. Some people, like me, were so focused on the Coast, they didn't realize their peril until the last minute.
I do know what you mean about the hysterical forecasters. It's just such a total bummer, either way you go.
WSW? RBA, what do you draw that conclusion from?
That is what I hear Ft Pierce, which is 50 miles due east of me. I have hurricane fatigue, and I never left during either Charley or Frances. We are going to be pounded from the east again,it is too bad I do not drink. The only good thing is the hurricanes have kept the love bugs to a minimum and that is admirable.
I'd bet I have roofing tiles strung from here to Jaw-ga. :)
The models call for Jeanne to split the two highs shown on that map and for the ridge to allow that. If it doesn't, I agree, Jeanne would truck on to Texas.
The love bugs have been blown into Alabama. :) You should see the cars!
Thats an excellant idea. :) I don't think I've ever seen a thread on that topic after any storm but I'm sure it would very beneficial to everyone having to deal with the aftermath
The wind blew your post away...
I just hate when that happens...
Post 495, I was looking at the grapihc and that ridge the cane is going to meet coming on shore. I dont think it will go WSW thru the State but possibly wobble that way. Maybe.
Tornado watch issued for all Central Florida counties till midnight.
Hey Girlfriend!
Yes, I don't start threads, but think I might have a story to tell, eventually. Not sure yet, but getting that "feeling." :)
Jeanne is not going to Tex ... oh, never mind..
We had a very different word for them in Delaware...........
This is really a bad situation. First, Charley, Frances, Ivan, and now this. I feel bad for those people in Haiti and Florida.
You're welcome Letitring.
