Hinojosa coordinating with Democratic leaders tonight Leading Hidalgo County Democrats and campaign contributors are meeting tonight to plan for a possible visit by Teresa Heinz Kerry to the Rio Grande Valley in early October.
Tonight's meeting, organized by U.S. Rep. Rubén Hinojosa (D-Mercedes), takes place at the Cornerstone Grill in Edinburg, Border Buzz has learned.
Valley Democrats view a visit by Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, as a substitute for a campaign swing by vice presidential candidate John Edwards that never happened.
Edwards was due to visit McAllen in July for an event organized by Kerry's top Texas strategist Ben Barnes. Valley Democratic leaders said a last minute scheduling conflict stopped Edwards from coming. Hinojosa vowed at the time to get Kerry or Edwards to the Valley at some point during the campaign. With the focus now on battleground states, a visit by Heinz Kerry may be the best Valley Democrats can expect.
hahahaaaaa! Yeah.
Good Grief! There really is a Lucy Ramirez? But is it the real Lucy Ramirez? I daresay there are a few in Texas. This one sounds like a contender though.
There is one (at least). Who knows if this is the correct one. I have serious doubts that any Lucy Ramirez presented any docs to Burkett. Why would she seek out Burkett to be the guy, when there are many more direct routs to the DNC/Kerry camp?
ROFL, where do you live?
lol! Well......I say....she'll run, cry, whine and say No Fair, just like sKerry did after he said "bring it on"! : )
Heck Yeah! A south Texas ping list would be great! Sign me up.
Those top Democrats come to South Texas to see how the dead vote with such ease. Sometimes the dead come out of their graves on election day (or even early voting too), march to the polling places, vote as usual, and return to their graves without even awaiting the results.
Brownsville :')
When was it? BC dropped in once:'(. I wasn't a freeper at that time. To go to the Brownsville airport the path is over my house. The airforce put on a great show. Classy guys:')
Well, I have about a 40x55 foot roof:')
A ping list sounds great:')
Interesting.
I just looked in the phone book and she owns about 5 clinics in the valley.
LOL! Dead??? Our dead just walk across the border to vote.
Ollie was here last year in July or August. They had signs that said "drug dealer" and all kinds of evil stuff.
BC was here twice. They had to land in Brownsville because of the runway. He went to the same guys house, both times.
I wish I could have seen the Air Force guys, I bet they were great. I too was busy locking up and hiding my nieces.
armymarinemom: That's a good one.
