This voters guide helps you cast your vote in an informed manner consistent with Christian moral teaching. It helps you avoid choosing candidates who endorse policies that cannot be reconciled with moral norms that used to be held by all Christians.
On most issues that come before voters or legislators, the task is selecting the most effective strategy among several possibilities. A Christian can take one side or the other and not act contrary to the faith. Many matters are debatable and do not have a single, clear Christian position.
But some issues concern non-negotiable moral principles that do not admit of exception or compromise. Ones position either accords with those principles or does not. No one endorsing the wrong side of these issues can be said to act in accord with the Christian faith. . . .

Hmmm..... I think I'll vote for..... hmmmm.... yeah, Bush.
The "non-negotiables" are consistent with Vatican teaching. The USCCB often issues confusing statements. Its bureaucrats often do not clearly state teachings clearly, intentionally, I think.
The voters guide is solidly Roman Catholic.
lol, I agree. I'm just saying the Bishops don't :-)
