Sorry, but I don't believe a word of it. ViaCom is feeling heat and he's just trying to soothe some ruffled feathers.

More BS - he and his daughter raise money for Kerry. Like a little kid putting a book in the back of his pants, that's all.

Redstone/Rothstein/CYA. That's the whole story.
Tell old Sumner/Murray to put the loud chorus of boos back into the 'New York 9/11 Concert', the boos that Viacom removed to cover for Satan's Daughter.

Agreed. He will say whatever is convenient for the moment.
No one knows how he votes behind the curtain.

Exactly what I thought.
The only thing this bastard is doing is positioning himself so that he can say this to oppose the FCC complaints and Viacom shareholder bitching.

Excuse me .. what do you do if the network you own is being sabotaged by a frothing at the mouth Kerry supporter ..??
You SAY YOU'RE VOTING FOR BUSH.
I'm sorry .. but he can vote for whomever he wants .. but until he's willing to see the writing on the wall in HIS OWN COMPANY .. it tells me he's only trying to sway public opinion about CBS. Give me a break!

Sumner Redtone's support for Bush is a lie just like Dan Rather's story on Bush's TxANG service.

You can't say that here.. people will think you don't support capitalism. Actually, you can't serve both of Capitalism and Money either. This present news story is an excellent demonstration why!

Actually, good old Sumner didn't actually "endorse" President Bush, he just said he was voting for him and did not encourage anyone else to.
He said this from Hong Kong. In 1999 when Sumner was in Beijing, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Great Communist Victory that created the People's Republic of China he proclaimed that he was a "Socialist at heart".
I think there's something in the water in China that causes Sumner to go a bit off his rocker. Either that or the old slime ball has written off Kerry and is just trying to cover his bases.
