Lugano, Switzerland -- Did Saddam Hussein use any of his ill-gotten billions filched from the United Nations Oil-for-Food program to help fund Al Qaeda?
Investigations have shown that the former Iraqi dictator grafted and smuggled more than $10 billion from the program that for seven years prior to Saddam's overthrow was meant to bring humanitarian aid to ordinary Iraqis. And the Sept. 11 Commission has shown a tracery of contacts between Saddam and Al Qaeda that continued after billions of Oil-for-food dollars began pouring into Saddam's coffers and Usama bin Laden declared his infamous war on the U.S.
Now, buried in some of the United Nation's own confidential documents, clues can be seen that underscore the possibility of just such a Saddam-Al-Qaeda link -- clues leading to a locked door in this Swiss lakeside resort. Yes, and why wasn't this included in the 9/11 "comprehensive" commission report which reported no links? All anyone has to do is follow the money, and there you have it. I can very much believe the UN was fully aware of all this too, as corrupt of an organization as they are...and don't forget France!
This cannot possibly be true unless Dan Rather believes that it's true.
Yikes. I forgot to ask Dan Rather if it is true.....
Well until I can get to talk to Rather... we have to pass the word along, guys.
W needs to include this info in his debate materials
(I'm sure he will) because then it becomes obvious to anyone that this is why France & Germany did not join the coalition.

The sept 11 report reveals that Iraq and al Qaeda started communication after the United States kicked Saddam out of Kuwait in the first Gulf War in 1991. Bin Laden"himself met with a senior Iraqi intelligence officer" in sudan in 1994 or 1995, the report says.
In 1996, the report says bin Laden began having serious money problems.--
-1997- bin Laden sent out feelers to Iraqi regime offering some cooperation. 1998- Al Qaeda went to Iraqi intelligence and Iraqi met with bin Laden.
1998- Al Qaeda bombed two American embassies in Africa - bin Laden called "for the murder of any American, anywhere on Earth." Suddenly, according to the Sept. 11 report, "Bin Laden had become the rich man of the jihad movement".
One more thing about 1998: that was the year the Oil-for-Food program really started pumping billions into Saddam's secret accounts, according to U.N. figures.
"Claudia Rosett, a journalist in residence for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies and a FOX News contributor working on Oil-for-Food stories, said the Sept 11 commission never looked at Oil-for-Food records."
This is why the 9/11 commission is junk!!!
any mistakes and bold are mine - typed from a copy.
Kerry said on 9/21 during a campaign speech that we now know there were no connections between Al Qaeda and Iraq.
He must not have read the Senate Intelligence Committee Report or the 9/11 Commission Report, both of which cited the many connections between Iraq and AQ.
A high ranking Iraqi fedayeen soldier attended at least one pre planning 9/11 meeting with AQ.
Saddam knew 9/11 was coming and where we were going to be hit.
Even the Clinton Justice Department was able to obtain an indictment against OBL which cited the terrorist's ties to Iraq.
A federal judge has granted two 9/11 families a multi-million dollar judgement - against Iraq.
During the 90's, the mainstream press wrote about the world's alarm at the growing relationship between Saddam and Osama bin Laden. Old Media thinks we can't look these things up.

That is why the 9/11 Commission report is such a crock, why Gorelick couldn't testify. The minute you start looking at the connection, it leads to money and it leads to Clinton.
So, Marc Rich went to Switzerland, after Clinton pardoned him. Or let him off, whatever. I remember that - that the guy, Marc Rich took off to Switzerland, and that a lot of republicans were angry about it.
....meanwhile ...where is the justice? Me, I am thinking we have to align ourselves with one and only one news outlet, (for the time being - someday we wont need any of them) -- and show them we appreciate any work they do investigating, and I dont care who owns what - station - that is - as long as they do the job for us.
